I'm totally a chocoholic, so much so that I ordered some chocolates online to be delivered tomorrow. I ordered a huge bag of Ghirardelli chocolates with caramel inside. I'm so bad, but it tastes so good.

The chocolate lover's thread!

What about you? Do you love chocolate?

Yes I love it too. My big down fall is a British bar of chocolate and caramel it's called a Curlywurly. The walmarts up here have them in the international section. When my husband use to travel for work he would bring me back rich wonderful chocolate from all over the world.

Ooh they look nice. I love cheese and chocolate. In fact if they made chocolate covered cheese bars I'd eat them I generally don't like British chocolate. Cadbury tends to have very low cocoa content sometimes only 20%. I prefer Belgian or Swiss or even just continental European chocolate which is 30%+. What % cocoa are they?
If it were me I would put them somewhere slightly inaccessible and take a few at a time. If I sat with them in front of the TV OMG!!!. At the end of the evening I would have made myself sick having eaten about a pound of chocolate and 2000 calories. Just out of interest how much were they?

Chocolate is lovely. I don't keep it in my house because I'd eat it all in one day. Chocolate is the only food I cannot stop myself from overeating.

Yup.
I am an expat from a country with (what I considered) some really good chocolate. Then things went odd with Cadbury and it didn't taste the same and then the price of cocoa beans went up a lot....

Anyhoo.

ALDI supermarket chocolate by far is the best. If you have one near you...try it.

Artchic, have you ever visited the Ghirardelli chocolate factory in San Francisco? It's loads of fun, and so pretty.

Unfortunately, my chocolate addiction started when I was 5. I stole a Chunky from our local A&P and my mom caught me in the bathroom, eating it in secret like a true addict. She marched me right back to the store and made me apologize to the manager. While I learned my lesson and never pilfered anything again, she failed to enroll me in the local chapter of Choc-o-Holics Anonymous. The end result is seen 45 years later. I cannot go to a Walgreens or a supermarket without purchasing a bag of Nestles Crunch. That being said, I'm comfortable with who I am.
Thanks for this!

I'm not ashamed in the least over my being a chocoholic. In fact, I have a wonderful story about chocolate that I'm proudly going to share today.

I once found half of a huge 5 lbs bar of milk chocolate in my freezer, and after having seen no one in the house so much as take a nibble on it for weeks, I dived in and helped myself. The sheer temptation was too much. I was so very sick to my stomach towards the end of eating it, but I'm a stubborn woman and managed to finish the last few bites of the chocolate without having it make a reappearance. That was my biggest ever chocolate binge to date.

I'm picky, I like import chocolate. US adds too much wax and or only "chocolate flavor", no real chocolate. Right now I am addicted to Trader Joes milk chocolate with almonds.

I just had white chocolate with crispy bits of rice in it. It was delicious. I actually bought chocolate today, also a Galaxy bar which is sat in the cupboard. I can't believe it. I never buy chocolate! xD
