I have a brand new slow cooker and I want to give it to a family in need. But how do I do this? Suggestions?
Not Goodwill bc they will sell it.

You could always try a local church, as they are always trying to help people in need. Our one church here in town will help you with food, no questions asked. we have had to use it a few times this year. Problem is though, there are a lot of people that have too much pride to ask for charity. I was that way but when you get hungry enough, you will ask and I think it is a very kind thing for you to do!

I had no idea I could give anything other than food to them. I think I will try that. What do they do though? Do they offer it to people?

Is there a charity that supports homeless people. They need household items if they find accommodation. Maybe try social services.

I donate to a local charity. They do sell the items but then use the money to support local homeless people. In the end, it works out. Someone in need of a slow cooker will be able to buy one at a fair price and the profits will be used to help those in need.

It is very kind what you want to do. Good luck.
