What's the meaning of your screen name? Where did it come from?

Mine is from a lesser-known New Order song (been a big fan of theirs for many years). I was scrolling through my iTunes, trying to think of a good name, and LonesomeTonight just seemed to work. Because, you know, that night, I was feeling kinda lonesome

Growlycat is in honor of YouTube cat CheezburgerNfries, a poor kitty who is mocked by those who should know better (turndown volume before playing link)

Back in my early days of hospitalizations, I felt like that cat. And I was treated like that cat.

Oh. Wow. LT, I always assumed your name was from Elvis Presley's "Are You Lonesome Tonight?"

, courtesy Ella Fitzgerald.

If I ever change my screen name, I'm gonna be "Mack the Knife."

Mine is a typo... originally when I joined a decade ago, I used my legal name but I only lurked and read articles. When I decided that this journey needed more direct support, I asked to have the name changed. My legal name is very unique. It was supposed to be Eloi. Eloi is the name of the tribe in 2002 version of the movie The Time Machine. Since I already did one name change, I didn't ask for another. The FAQ say only 1 name change, so I live with Elio

When I signed up, I was moving soon from a desert state to another state and had ordered my first pair of rainboots. Then my birth year.

I was reading a book about seashells at the time. There was a lengthy chapter on argonauts. My word processor kept insisting there was no such word. Surely I meant "Argon Auto."

I kept picturing a seashell-themed supervillain with an Argonaut-o-mobile. (Like the batmobile).

And here I thought you were a fan of the myth of Jason and the Argonauts and the Golden Fleece and you updated their ship to a car.

I clearly make way too many assumptions about screen names.

Oh, that's way better. I'm telling people that from now on.

I assumed "Atisket Atasket" was a traditional Eskimo name...

Took me a while to Google the "Brown and Yellow Basket" bit.

Huh, probably a good chance that's where New Order got the title from. Since, like most of their songs, they don't actually say the song title in the song. Though they do say "How many times before did you leave my soul alone?"

Well my original screen name was broken_one because I feel broken and I should have stayed with that because I really dislike random_emotion but I picked that because sometime emotions can be so random

Scarlet Pimpernel is my favorite flower. I always loved that it was so dainty looking, yet it's a strong weed. It's also cool that it only blossoms in sunlight. If there's even a shadow on it, it won't open up.

Okay, three strikes, I'm out. I thought it was a reference to the pro-aristocratic hero of the series by Baroness Orczy set during the French Revolution.

Your avatar should maybe have been a clue.

We seek him here, We seek him there
Those frenchies seek him every where
Is he in heaven or is he in hell
That damned elusive pimpernel

I think the flower. The character used to leave one/used it as his mark.

Yes you are correct. The character's emblem was the flower. Wikipedia names SP
as a forerunner to Zorro and batman (hero with a secret identity)
