If whatever is wrong is part of a Chrysler recall, can you get your money back? Chrysler PT Cruiser Recalls | RepairPal

The PT Cruiser is on consumer reports lists of cars to avoid. I was thinking about getting one cause they are cool looking igloos. But my daughter had one and I'm glad I didn't. She had lots of problems with hers too.

I worked for Chrysler Fiat when they first came out - and they were full of recalls and technical service bulletins even before they left the lot. But they also came out 20 years ago and cars haven't been built to last long since the 90s.

Is it driveable? Does it have any value worth investing money into it?

Last week I had a wrecker haul away my clunker (and it was only a 2002). I donated the money to charity. The kidney foundation has a program.

Car troubles just suck. It seems you pay one way or the other.
New or used you pay and pay.

It also seems that they happen to those who can least afford it.

I just got my '93 truck back after having the engine switched out. It cost a lot but compared to buying another used vehicle I think it was a good deal. It has more power now, and is much quieter than my old engine. It purrs! Even with all the money I've put into my old truck I owe her, not the other way around. The key is keeping up with maintenance...and when the old engine dies...well, you can replace it!
