I will be on my own. There is a chance a friend may stop by.
I will take pleasure in knowing that my grown kids will do something with the one they love today----
My plan is to get the snowshoes on and enjoy the woods post Nor'easter....something has been holding me back the past few days.....have to break that hold....

I am hoping my SO will have something planned when I travel south to visit him this weekend. I admit I will be terribly disappointed if he doesn't.

The day is a difficult one for me in terms that a great many horrible memories are attached to it. Thankyou for the group best wishes. It forced me to look for more positive things.

Shattered- he got a 5lb box of chocolates from a place called See's candy for Christmas. So he got a box of his fav cookies that came all the way from Hawaii. They arrived last week but he wanted to open them and I said he had to wait.

I had several doctor appointments yesterday plus stopping at the pharmacy picking up dinner and getting gas. When I got home he had the box of cookies opened already he just could not wait

My landlord delivered the mail and said "Happy Valentines Day", I asked if he would be my valentine & he laughed and said "sure"---I thanked him.
That was it, and a short but beautiful snowshoe in the fresh fallen snow.
(my landlord is 85, I am 64)

I was on my own too this year even though some guys who are trying tried to contact me. I hesitated to buy myself a perfume, because I want it since Christmas and finally changed my mind. A friend invited me for lunch in a nice restaurant though but I don't have any interest in him.

Another Chance! I noticed a post from an old friend on FB (who I had recently run into at a concert & promised to visit) that a group of men who go (for $10!) anyplace to sing a song to someone (I remember them coming into places I worked to sing to patients and it was truly lovely & uplifting....bringing smiles etc) is going to be in "town" this evening at the Women's club....so I am going, I will see my friend and listen to a lovely song of love....(no partner required for this one)
