Hi there. I kind of had a crappy day. Feeling bad about a mistake I made at work... like a month or more ago lol. Yup that's what I do, beat myself up about everything. So let's all say something good that has happened to us. Whether it be today, yesterday, last year, whenever! I just need some cheerful stories to brighten my evening. I'll start!

I work in a vet clinic and I'm learning how to new things everyday. Today I successfully drew blood on a cat! Sounds small but it was a big step for me and a big accomplishment

What about you all?

I'll tell you this much... I wouldn't be able to draw blood from anyone. You earn my respect.

Yesterday, I had a great year end review for my job and that sure made my day.

Received an onsite feedback from an oncall doctor about the follow up mammogram where a rather visible spot showed at the beginning of this month. Was scar tissue from a surgery from years ago. This tech is scheduled soon for the same surgery so she knew what needed to happen with pointed instructions. Now that I know what they are looking for I can actually see what caused commotion. I'm so used to that spot.

I checked my mailbox and found a cheque for money I wasn't expecting. It seems the wrecker found more value in my clunker of a car and has given me additional reimbursement. This is a shocker regarding service I wouldn't have dreamed of expecting. He already had the car in his possession. He didn't have to do this. It's not a lot, but it will allow me to get a few neccessities that I've been putting off lately in addition to filling my fridge.

Got my roofing on my house finished. They found more damage than originally planned for like the old plastic skylights in the bathrooms shattered when they were tearing off the roofing. I had already seen cracks in them & they were leaking into the wood around them. I had forgotten about the insurance recoverable depreciation so out of pocket was much less than I was thinking. Then a normal check I get this time of year was $200 more than other years. Plesant surprise. More money to go toward fencing & getting my horse moved here later this spring.

Been ripping out carpet to lay new beautiful flooring. Having to pull up a gazillion staples had me rather pissy. But it will be amazing when finished !

What an awesome job you are doing!!!! THANK YOU for your care of our feathered friends. I have a friend who does wildlufe rehab for the native wildlife here. Deer, baby possums, coonies, then does the release when well enough. Her farm is like a zoo....very special work you do.

The kitten I rescued is a little ball of love. She's especially fond of my husband and follows him around. Even jumped into his lap. He loves her.

These are great everyone! Sometimes it feels good to look at the silver lining in one's day. Even if it is just something small. Sometimes I just need some positivity and distraction lol

I agree arnie. Right now I am struggling and haven't managed to find something to add but it has been good to know that good things are happening.

I haven't seen a kookaburra for ages much less heard one. Thanks for the picture.

Same. Thank you for starting this thread, arnie.

Like Possum, I'm struggling and haven't found anything yet to add, but it helps me to read the posts Gets me out of my self-pitying head for a moment, and lets me feel a bit of happiness for someone else.
