If you had to put morals / religion aside ...
Do you believe in their abilities to read the past and predict the future? Curious because I spoke to one tonight. Would be nice to believe what she said will come true, but who the bloody hell knows! |

Clairvoyants are among us. All one has to do is believe. While I cannot see into the future, I can see one's aura and heal the damage within it. I'm, as you may have guessed, a healer. According to a clairvoyant who had done a reading for me, I posses a powerful healing gift. I've used it on myself to much success. I simply close my eyes, and run my hand an inch away from my body, wherever I feel an ache or pain. I then see what looks like black tendrils or smudges on my naturally magenta aura in that area. I then begin to "pull" at the dark tendrils, and they come out looking all black and wispy. I then fling them away from my aura and repeat the process over and over until the dark tendrils are all gone, as well as the ache in my body. This is, I have since learned, a healing technique called Reiki Healing. Of course, I've only done minor aches so far. I tried healing the areas in my head, but that didn't work, despite how many black tendrils I pulled from it. I guess I need to do it in sessions or something.
I'm also able to connect with the spirit world, and use it to connect and gain insight into another's inner most thoughts. I've done it before. It only works when that person opens their mind and allows me in. I can't just simply walk in uninvited. Once I'm allowed in, the spirits tell me what I need to know, often whispering me the answer. It takes a lot of energy for the spirits to manifest, let alone speak. What I hear as a mere whisper might very well be a spirit shouting. An example of this is when a woman asked me to guess her astrological sign. I asked her to open her mind to me and then closed my eyes and connected with the Spirit world. They told me with utmost certainty that she was a Sagittarius. I told her what I was told by the Spirits, and it was, naturally, the correct answer. She and the other people in the room were very impressed. For those who don't believe, they simply have yet to experience that which I and many others have. It's very hard for one to believe in something when they haven't yet experienced it. Also, be aware of charlatans. Many a person will feign having these and many other gifts to cheat you out of money. A truly gifted person is out to help others, not gain heaps of cash.

I am disgusted with the other kind that arrogantly believes they know what is going to happen. And they are mostly out for money. Or delusional. I would advise them to keep their delusions to themselves or seek help like most of us here do. Or turn their delusions into fiction or something creative. Even if we do consider the possibility that there is a way to supernaturally look into the future, the ones who can do that would use it more wisely then to ***** their abilities. I guess. (Typing this made me realize I want to stop these cameras looking at me in my room. I want a clairvoyant to disillusion me, or would that be exorcist). Tarot for example is a great toy to learn about anything and seeing all those charlatans abusing it just feeds my paranoia and delusions. Even this text for me is a reading card. It says I must break those cameras. |

Yes. My mother had the second sight as apparently her own mother before her. When I was a child I used to have 'waking dreams' of things happening - things for which I had no prior experience that could be directing such dreams.
I also saw disasters - from perspectives I would never have had prior knowledge. This still on occasion happens. I had a deep foreboding about 9/11 days before it occurred - I was desperately afraid of tall buildings. When it happened it was not a shock. I was about five when my mom told me not to talk about such things; that people wouldn't understand. I kind of kept it buried for years. |

People can be perceptive and can draw conclusions from given information. That is the extent of my belief.
I have seen TV shows and heard from people who said a psychic knew info they had no way to know. I studied parapsychology with a PhD who was famous for exposing all the charlatans. He said none of that crap is true or proven.

I guess for some seeing is believing. I have seen and experienced my own abilities. I know them to be true from said experiences. Sure, there are many a con man out there feeding off of vulnerable and sometimes hurting people just to make a quick buck. I don't deny that. However, let's not throw in the truly gifted with that riffraff. We are out there, you just have to be cautious and know where to look. ![]()

I personally don't believe that anybody has the power to see into ones future because if that were the case, wouldn't there be a lot less tragic events in the world due to a clairvoyant's aid?
Also, there is a 1 million dollar prize still up for grabs for somebody who can win a contest that proves they are capable of magic; said prize has been up for grabs since the 1950s, yet if we had clairvoyants, wouldn't one of them have claimed it already? With that being said, I don't doubt that there are things humans are capable of that defies logic and reason and I also believe that we have yet to scratch the surface of all of the knowledge and secrets in the universe, however, I would need to be shown some demonstrable evidence for something such as clairvoyance in order for me to believe in it. |

If clairvoyants DO exist, it's likely that humans barely have the capacity to perform such feats since humans in general are still young and have a lot of evolving to do; at our current level we barely have the intellectual capacity to understand how the solar system works or to be able to comprehend the sheer amount of stars in the universe or the size of our galaxy let alone something such as clairvoyance or anything mystical.
Humanity has potential for greatness provided we one day evolve out of our selfish primal instincts and learn to accept each other's differences rather than judge them and learn that knowledge is more powerful than money. We still have a long way to go. |

Since I ever seen that ghost is exist, I believe things like clairvoyant exist too. I ever meet some who claimed to be one, but I never they proven themselves. Not because they're fraud (through it's possible), but because I prefer not to know about my future.
Prediction and prophecy can be helpful or disaster. The disaster example is on Oedipus history. Through it just a story, I think message is good. If the prophet never speak, the tragedy wouldn't happen. The other example is this old, folk story from Chinese. A boy was predicted to be a successful businessman. The parents so happy they spoiled him. After their demise, boy is now a man who still thinking that he will successful someday. He become lazy, waiting for the prophecy to come true. He dead as poor man. In gate of hell and heaven, he complained about his future with God. God said it will come true, if he working hard. I don't think I need to provide the example the good one, most people know it. |

While I can't prove either way, I find it highly unlikely and, to my knowledge, there has been no evidence (at least public) to support the whole seeing into the future thing. Besides, with all the people using this stuff to con people out of their hard-earned money, it's easy enough for me to be incredibly skeptical. I'm a very skeptical person anyway. I don't always believe something just because someone say it's so. If I did, I'd been in all kinds of trouble! xD BUT, it would cool if it were possible to see into the future, although I dunno if I'd be comfortable with anyone having that sort of power. That's my honest -- albeit partial -- opinion.
