Good morning to all! We had a deluge here last evening so everything outside is soaked. Still overcast but I remain hopeful the sun will shine. Unseasonably cool temps this morning that I love! Sitting on my back veranda with coffee earlier, I saw our resident red-headed woodpecker, a gray squirrel looking for brunch, and several other songbirds. Depression has been a challenge this week, but moments when something divine in nature touches my everyday lifts my spirit.

It's been raining here, too, since last night. I like rainy days, they seem more peaceful to me. There aren't many squirrels in my neighborhood, and I miss seeing them playing in the trees and running around in the yard.

This is an amazing world that God has made for us; all the little animals (and big ones), flowers, trees... I find the peace of a rainy day very therapeutic. The only thing I like better (concerning nature) is a snowy day.

I'm not too happy with mother nature right now as I woke up to a blanket of snow. Usually I should be enjoying t-shirt weather right now. And Trump says climate change is a hoax. Harummph.

I am trying to take solace in what nature will have to offer once she gets around to it. I look at at photo of myself on a hammock in the forest and that gives me comfort. I have been looking too at pictures from my most recent camping adventure last summer and feel soothed by the green trees, granite mountains, and turquoise glacial lakes.

I miss being out in nature. Hopefully we'll be able to go camping soon.

It's been raining here too. It started at 10:00 Saturday evening and has been off and on ever since. The world is wet and cold outside, with temps dipping into the 50's. I know rain is good for the plants and trees, but I feel like we're in danger of washing away or drowning or something. It's rained nearly 4 inches now, and every stream and creek around is bursting at the banks. I also want to see the sun again. I like watching it rain as much as the next person, but it's grown wearisome by now. It's time for the warmth and sunshine again.
