I had my first psychiatric assessment the other week, I was horrified at the report that was made up, my own medical records would easily highlight how inaccurate the report is.
I think the main part of the report that has me astonished is the fact the doctor has actually used prejudice instead of facts.

His exact words in the report

She recognises her life is somewhat chaotic. I DO THIS IS FACT

On discussion she also acknowledges that her peers have been less chaotic and had relatively more success in their lives, relationships, financial status, jobs, homelife and accommodation. She on the other hand, has somehow struggled to achieve that success. She has not consciously made this comparison before....

I never made this comparison at all, he did.

I'm 41,I've been a single parent since I was 22, I have a daughter in uni and I own my house outright.

I can only guess that he assumed that I have poor financial status and that I have failed to achieve accommodation status

I feel like I have just thrown money away on my assessment and I am now ready to give up seeking help from the so called specialists.

This by the way is only one of the incorrect facts in my report, there are many many more.

That is awful for sure but I don't think you should give up.
It can take a while to find the right doctor, this one is obviously not it.
You will eventually find the right one for you.

Yes, but at a cost, he was private, so its going to cost again, or a long wait on the NHS, which will cost me in wages in the long run. Its kind of made me doubtful about the ethics involved to be honest.

I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. I have also found some of the people involved in my treatment to be very judgemental and blatantly make up things. Is there anyone you can talk to about what the psychiatrist has written, to find out why he did and put your truth forward? Good luck with everything.

This has also been my experience

I wish you luck in finding a professional with the ability to listen (and even care)?

Hi ,

You have more intellect , plain and simple. ( period )

For ANY doctor or or therapist to make any diagnosis after one visit is nuts in and of itself.

For one to make a prejudicial statement based on there one assumptions only goes to solidify whom has the greater intellect , the patient or the doctor.

Please find help elsewhere , I went through a similar thing here in the US about 33 years ago , I walked out and never looked back.

If people can not have the human heart of decency , then we have all become "Gods mad men" or women . as the case presents itself.

Stand strong until the day is done , rest easy young soul for we must triumph once again in the `morrow. ref" G.S.I.

Later guy`s , U know how to reach me !
