Today, Sunday, October 21, 2018, I am grateful for being able to follow the Haunting of Hill House without too much difficulty. Because of my Complex PTSD, my concentration and comprehension are impaired but I am doing ok with the series.

I work really hard to better my mental illness as best I can; I hope my hard work is paying off.

Today, Monday, October 22, 2018, I am grateful for wanting to be a responsible adult, for the first time in my life. I have been to scared or too drunk or sick before.

I am grateful for the times that a person gives me a challenge and been able to stand to it.

I am not always graceful with this, but I've had moments which I am grateful for.

Loving family and caring friends. Specifically today. My apt door lock is fixed. New debit card. Home Health Aid and good phone talk with women friends. Lastly my man is getting rehab for his lower back surgery.

Very little at the moment, but I know deep down that I have a lot of things I'm taking for granted. I have to keep my head above water.

Today, Tuesday, October 23, 2018, I am grateful for the heavenly aroma of
freshly baked homemade bread.

It makes my little home cozy!

I'm grateful that my friend checked up on me after not hearing from me, I honestly didn't think he would.

I am grateful for my health.
I caught a cold and feel like dying...

I think most of us take our ability to move and breathe for granted.
For those of you who are or know anyone that are seriously ill - I can't imagine how you feel.
Y'all will be in my thoughts.

and today, I am grateful for the cat next door who strolled into my kitchen while I was putting out the bins. He put a smile on my face, even if he was half hoping for some of the leftover salmon he undoubtedly smelled.

I'm grateful for the sunshine, the changing colors of the leaves on the trees, & the fact that I've been feeling stable lately.

My effective assertiveness I exhibited at the doctors office today. They were turning me away again because I was 6 minutes late and I demanded they phone in my prescription otherwise I’d have to go to the emergency room. So they took me back to see the doctor. I held my emotions together and asked him to wean me off the AD as I’m in a lot of arthritic and emotional pain anyway. Now I don’t have to go back there again for 6 months and put up with their crap.

I am grateful I saw my sister & youngest niece this morning, and I am so glad I brought my sister leftovers of a large pot of stew I cooked. I didn't realize it, but she & one of my nieces are not feeling very well.

I'm grateful for the fall weather, even if it rained this morning.

I'm grateful we had a fun time as a family carving our pumpkin (and that my roasted pumpkin seeds turned out tasty this year!).

You are so right. I am grateful for that too. I'm such a pessimist I tend to overlook the things I do have and focus on what I don't.
