FB really sucks.

Facebook Is Ready With Your Next Dopamine Hit - disinformation

Not a like junkie, but I would be impacted by being ignored on sites I visit. I dont have illusion that we are one harmonious whole also. At least I have a sense that someone is there and keeps me company by this exchange of photons.

I like freeware, shareware and abandonware. I miss the days around the turn of the century when file sharing (not necessarily music) was all the rage and you were a naughty person if you took part in it. It was a blast!

I wonder how this could apply to viral memes:

Interesting Fact #11: Applications of hypercube - virology
Quote:
It allows scientists to think of the possible viral DNA sequences as vertices of a very high-dimensional hypercube-like object, a sort of hypercube with its interior filled with smaller hypercubes. Each vertex corresponds to a specific virus, and since edges connect two vertices which differ by exactly one position, each edge can be thought of as a point mutation changing one base in a virus’ DNA sequence. Because this hypercube-like shape has such a high dimension, each vertex connects to quite a lot of other vertices, meaning that the virus has the potential to mutate in an enormous number of different ways. Using geometry of higher dimensional objects, virologists can understand how quickly the variation in possible mutations grows with longer sequences of viral DNA.
