Hi everyone!
How do you talk to a girl you haven't talked to in a few years? I added her on Facebook, and she accepted my friend request. Few years ago I found out she liked me through her dad, and I liked her back but she moved away to College so I never got to know her well. Well, she came back and is single. I don't talk to her on FB because I think it might be a little awkward because all of a sudden all these years I am messaging her. She does like some of my FB posts so maybe she does want to talk? I've never had a girlfriend, and she just seems like such a super nice and kind person. She seriously doesn't judge and I like her a lot for that, it's such an admirable quality. How should I approach this? Should I start slow, and start making comments on Facebook on things we both have in common (ex: Game of thrones)? And build a relationship and if things go well then ask her out? thanks! |

Hi, NeedHelp104, and welcome to Psych Central! I think starting with Facebook would be a good start. It's a nice sign that she accepted your friendship.
![]() If that goes well, then you could try getting together at Starbuck's (or some coffee shop place or such) or lunch to catch up with things. And if that goes well, then maybe an afternoon movie---ultimately a real evening dinner date! |

I would start casual conversation on FB as well and take it to coffee shop or movies or such, of she's willing.
