I can't say I blame anybody who deletes the content on their social media accounts. I'd like to know myself why she did it, but I guess she has her reasons. Maybe she grew tired of all the trolls and bull crap like we did.
I'm not even a fan of her music anyway. I just commend anybody who has the courage to delete their online accounts. She is a public figure, after all. She probably got tired of the abusive remarks from the Internet parasites, but I don't think she has erased the accounts, just what was included on them. She unfollowed everyone too. Hell, I don't like Justin Bieber either, but at least he knows when to quit. I've only got a Facebook account for one solitary reason: film work. I've never been interested in it generally. People always harass you and block you for stupid reasons, like it rains on their parade to be associated with somebody they feel isn't in their league. In fact, they recently altered the search features, so it's hard to find the stuff you want now. There was nothing wrong with how it was before. This is just another example of something being 'fixed' that isn't even broken. But well done, Taylor and Justin. You have both earned my respect. Now please just make some decent music that won't make my ears bleed. |

I agree. I don't like social media at all and only keep it for information from the groups I'm in and events. I don't actually post anything anymore!
It all feels so fake to me. I'm not sure why. It's not a representation of real life, but at the same time people share far too much. I wish I had the courage to delete mine too. Celebs must get so sick of all the trolls. There's so many keyboard warriors too who are just mean to other people on there. Upsets me what we live in a world where people think bringing others down over the internet is an ok thing to do ![]() |

Has anybody noticed that when you search for something now, Facebook doesn't display the posts? It just has a load of options to the left, but they don't display legit results.
Now you can hardly find anything. Maybe they did that to resolve some privacy issues, but it makes finding specific posts harder now. I'm not talking about posts I've made. Just general posts that come up based on things you type in to look up. Man, there was no need to screw that up. |

The answer is to tune out and get out.

Ha-ha. That was to the point and very mean, but true. Is that what you did, justafriend306?

Well not intended to be mean; more constructive criticism - there is a difference. I am tuned out from that artificial world and literally taking myself outside instead. A great deal more healthy.

If I had a real life to live well enough, I would give up on forums. I'm still waiting on this company contacting me about my new support.
In general, many message boards aren't as interesting anymore. When I want to chat about video games for example, many forums are either dead, or you get people just posting to say they aren't a fan. So yeah. It can end up feeling so pointless. So I get what you mean. |
