I just don't understand it

why when you talk about pooh or the toilet, is it so ****ing amusing?

I have just finished watching half an hour of a comedian, where all he talked about was pooh, and toilets, and pis

the crowd went wild for it

sorry... what's funny about it?

and it's not just comedians either

you just have to go up to someone and talk about pooh and they break in to laughter

yes I'm ranting I suppose

I don't get the funny side

I have never found potty humor that amusing either. Some comedians go for the easy win with crude humor, potty stuff, fart jokes, blah blah. I prefer comedians that are more intellectual and joke about the human condition, relationships, politics, etc.

that's the type of joke I find funny, too

and I love when comedians make up songs about it.

victoria wood was great at that

as was roy chubby brown (who's still alive, just retiring from commedy)

I like Christopher Titus. His mother was a violent schizophrenic and actually killed her last husband on their wedding day. His motto is it's better to laugh than cry. He has amazing insight and humor about growing up in a dysfunctional household.

He had problems with alcohol abuse when he was young. He said he bypassed the 12 step program and quit drinking with a 1 step program....as in he got drunk and fell face first into a bonfire. He quit drinking that night

You know... I don't know. But, when I read your title... I honestly couldn't figure out if you meant actual poo, or pooh - as in Winnie-the-Pooh! (Yes, my inner brain is apparently 5-years old).

When I read the first sentence (quoted above) - I actually burst out laughing out loud.

Maybe it's just a stress reaction (laughing) to something that is a little uncomfortable to talk about? I mean, because clearly there's not really anything funny about it in real life. Not like people are banging on the bathroom door saying, "Hey? What's with all the laughing in there? You're not taking a poop without me, are you?! I can hear you!!!!"

Here he is! This is what I think of when I think of pooh. Hehehe. Kidding aside, my 18 year-old nephew STILL talks potty talk and thinks it's funny. I don't get it at all.

what's so funny about pooh?

Now that song done by South Park "mr hanky the Christmas poo" now that was just so wrong on many levels but geeze it's hilarious to see where we has a society come down to...talking about poop!

I find actually distasteful and quite turned off by it!

But the world will watch anything to the end about that stuff...

I had a chemistry professor in college - his name was Dr. Fuchs. He introduced himself on the first day of class and said........"ahhhhhh, ehhhhhh, the name is pronounced Fewwwks not Fuuuuks so get it right". The whole hall burst into laughter, one of the funniest moments in my college career. He was tough as nails but hilarious. I still remember that day.
