so i was checking up on the SSRI's sources and i found out that they aren't that good for men. Then i thought to myself should i tell my psychiatrist that i should stay off it because i don't want to be loosing serotonin when they could actually be the cause of making me a better healthy men.

I have to personally be careful of what I google. So much of it needs to be taken within context.
Remember your psychiatrist has weighed up the benefits/cons of you taking these meds, and has decided that it's the best course of action for you. |

It depends on the anti depressant and how you respond to it individually. I tend to find SSRIs make me less hungry as they make me nauseous - what really increased my hunger was Mirtazipine.
