I notices everyone has such interesting and creative usernames and I thought it might be fun to say what it was about you or your life that you picked the name you are using.

Mine is that I live in a house that on one side is bordered by one main river and another side is bordered by an oxbow. An oxbow is a section of the old river that is no longer used for boat traffic. Thus the oxbow serves as a place for water birds to nest and raise young. as well as, alligators and fish. We get visits by manatees that are crusing the main river and swim through the oxbow to eat the vegatation. And sometimes see otters fishing and playing.
And lastly I am a girl. (woman) Username How Did You Pick it and What Does it Mean

Not sure there is a specific reason I picked radio flyer. Maybe I am the lil abused child that vanished in the movie. The nic just seemed to fit.... and the ending of the movie is pretty much up to most folks imagination.

Kind of interesting -- Mellor:

English: habitational name from places in Lancashire, West Yorkshire, and Derbyshire, earlier recorded as Melver, and named from ancient British words that are ancestors of Welsh moel ‘bare’ + bre ‘hill’.

Dictionary of American Family Names, Oxford University Press, ISBN 0-19-508137-4

Mine is the first reasoning (the Latin):

Perna:

Italian: from the female personal name, Latin Perna. See also Perla.

Portuguese: habitational name from any of several places named Perna in Portugal.

Catalan and Portuguese: from perna ‘leg’; possibly a nickname for someone with long legs, or with a deformed or missing leg.

I didn't know about the others!

ma nom est Clyde. Clyde, of course, comes from my parents Username How Did You Pick it and What Does it Mean

I have also heard of the River Clyde. However, when I was clydemosis here, that was just because of my email, which is another story.

When I first was teaching, they had to set me up an email at the school I worked at. Not having a full fledged email account yet (I didnt have internet at home, just read news, etc at school), they asked me what name I wanted. Somehow (gasp) Clyde was taken.

So, being a fan of Ozzy Osbourne, he had an album come out named Ozzmosis. I decided that I would be called clydemosis for my email--its also the same as osmosis to me, for fusion and that kind of thing...

I'm sorry, but I just "hear" Ray Stevens when I read "Clyde":

Let me tell you 'bout Ahab The Arab
The Sheik of the burning sand
He had emeralds and rubies just dripping off 'a him
And a ring on every finger of his hands

He wore a big ol' turban wrapped around his head
And a scimitar by his side
And every evening about midnight
He'd jump on his camel named Clyde...and ride

When I was ten years old, I started to play the clarinet. I only stopped playing in my early 50's. Bflat refers to the clarinet, and my name is Gary.

i thought my nick name was clear in descibing what i am going through until many in chat thought the bpd reffered to biploar. It doesn't however. I suffer from borderline personality. I say suffer not just because i have borderline but because i suffer with each day i try to change and grow becoming a whole person. It is hard work and often painful, but worth it because i want to be a useful member of society.
