I know that we cannot "think" ourselves into a happier position in life. It takes work and it takes action to make deliberate changes for improvement. And I know the mad struggles that mental health issues can present. Sometimes they are severe and inhibiting to happiness. Or perhaps a difficult situation in life that we face inhibits our happiness.

That being said, I had an experience last night that really impacted my mood today.

I run a happiness blog. I re-read my "Have Happy Thoughts!" article this morning, and you know what? It cheered me up and completely altered and lifted my mood for the better.

It reminded me of all the simple, wondrous and joyous things in life that can make us feel happiness and joy inside. It reminded me of how beautiful, amazing and astounding this great big planet called earth is.... and that how sometimes, our own problems can shrink away when we can bask in the world's natural beauty and wonder.

So I wanted to share the article with you all here, with the hopes that it may remind us all that we CAN have happier thoughts that in turn, then CAN improve our moods.

If that's you, you look beautiful It makes me feel sorry for myself thinking there are people out there who doing a lot better than me and their life seems perfect. I'm just an ugly person who belongs to a rubbish bin, has a crappy job, no real friends, no boyfriend.... :/

Awww... please don't think this way. What matters MOST is what is on the inside of a person. Looks change drastically and fade over time. They are not permanent. But who a person IS on the INSIDE remains...... embrace your own inner beauty and you will shine and glow beauty on the outside too.

and thank you for the nice compliment.

Also, know that my life is far from perfect. I developed the blog to help people be happier in life, and in fact, it helps me too. I try to take my own advice!

Thank you for that wonderfully written article, Eve. I am a firm believer in that if we think more positively in our lives, we see more positiveness in it and as a result, become happier overall.

Not that this is a cure for depression by any means, but it helps a little.

Yes.... I agree. We can become happier overall if we see more positives in life. That is what I promote in my blog. Definitely not a cure for depression, but it sure helps. HUGS.
