Happy Winter Solstice everyone - today is the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere. The days get longer and the nights get shorter from here. Two thumbs up for that!
Thanks for this!

May your heart renew and successfully transition from grounding and inner reflections within the darkness, to opening up and being receptive to the light. The solstice is a time of renewal and to look toward our Mother Goddess, the Moon, to let go of what is holding us back and to cleanse our hearts of that which we begrudgingly hold onto from the past year.

It is a time of inner reflection, to see where we are on our grand journey of life and to realign ourselves to better be on the right path.

Personally, I enjoy the short days and long nights. I cannot say that I am looking forward to that changing.

I do like the longer days....BUT DST will start again in March. That means it will be DARK in the mornings again (I get up early), but lighter longer in the evening. I prefer it to be lighter in the morning, darker in the evening. It's already lighter in both the morning and evening when spring comes, but when we mess with the clocks, it ruins it for me.

It's depressing and hard to get up when it's still dark out, and I'm not a night person anyway. Still, darkness at 5pm here is a BIT of a stretch. Getting dark around 7pm is right for me.

Hope you all had a good Solstice.

I like the dark more this time of year. It's a time of reflection, turning inward, and planting new seeds for the New Year.
