I have a few authors that I like to read. Maya Angelou, Mary Oliver, Thomas Moore. I stopped reading fiction a while ago because it aggravated my PTSD, but I still like inspirational books.

Reading "The Physician " by Noah Gordon. Generally speaking I like historic romance novels. They are my guilty pleasure.

As a teenager, I was quite taken with Roger Zelazny's "Chronicles of Amber" (the original five books).

It's such an elegant concept, well executed. Lots of mythological and philosophical references, good symbolism, good imagination, outlandish characters, and the story moves along briskly with interest.

I don't know if it's held up as well for me years later, but I still have a soft spot for it.

Anything by Bryce Courtenay, but my favourite 2 by him, are "The Four Fires", and "Matthew Flinder's Cat".

The Blue Castle by LM Montgomery, I reread it at least once a year.

Davita's Harp by Chaim Potok

The Harry Potter series.
