Removing content. I think it might have been too heavy for this forum.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH... Me, my wife, and kids went through a long hard stretch of challenges over a period of years, but me and my wife hung out and watched the Walking Dead every Sunday night.

Picking up the story now.....

I'd gotten long term work, we were watching TV and decided to take an online personality quiz for the Walking Dead. I told her mine said I was "Glen", she immediately said, "No, you're Rick." I said, "I don't think so. I'm not Rick. I'm no leader" She said bluntly "They're wrong. You're Rick." I asked why she'd say that. She replied, "Because you'd look after all of us no matter what it takes, you'll make hard decisions and try to do the right thing and you'd even take in other people and look after them too. People would follow you because of that. They're wrong. You're Rick." That was six months ago. I had no idea my wife saw me like that. It has changed how I view our marriage.

Thanks for the heads up. I will go and edit/delete this post. I thought this was a general chat forum, not related to any particular topic, so thought it was the right spot. I never considered it was too heavy for some, depending on your circumstances.

It's definitely in the right spot.

I just wish I would have known that there was going to be some sensitive material. I would have known if it was labeled with a trigger warning, so I'm just suggesting (it's up to you of course) that you add one in the future if you're posting such content. You're by no means obligated to do so and I of course have no control over whether or not you do.

Well I'm totally curious as to what the original post said. Lol. Either way that is a great compliment that speaks volumes about your personality. Rick is a very noble character.

That is a beautiful assessment by your wife. I watch TWD too (although I've kind of lost my place in it by missing so much of season 7), I'd have been zombie food about a week before Rick was in the hospital lol.

My wife and I were struggling as a couple before we hit real problems... illness and losses within our family that spanned years, but we stayed together and all did our best.

I never thought she regarded me well, and certainly didn't as these additional pressures mounted. This statement from her, and her complete assertion of it, really floored me. That was months ago. I hadn't shared it with anyone.
