ok, in the grand scheme of things, this isn't huge, but it makes me happy.

Women for sobriety was having a fundraising auction on e-bay and I decided to donate two pairs of fingerless mitts that I had knit. This was really outside my comfort zone, as I tend to be somewhat insecure about my knitting mostly because I hang out with people who are better knitters than me. So I was really afraid I wouldn't get any bids. But I did and both items sold.

Now I think I'm going to make up a bunch more items to donate to the auction at Women For Sobriety's annual conference.

Isn't it amazing what you can create with two sticks and a string?

I am very much a novice knitter two and my first creation is a lavender scarf with matching lavender fringe, but in my newness to the art, I honestly had no clue when to stop making it. As a result, it's very long, almost longer than I am tall, and as such, resembles the scarf worn by the 4th Dr. Who. So, I jokingly call it my Dr. Who crossplay scarf. The best part is that there is now a female Dr. Who, so having said scarf isn't breaking any cannons.

Congratulations! What a wonderful accomplishment. I had a successful etsy store for a year and the experience was very gratifying.
