because then ew year's one was so fun.
I am doing my own childhood survey: how would you describe the family you grew up with? abusive did you have your own room as a child? yes did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? a house do you know what time you were born? mid day faves: as a child, what was your fave: toy: my educational robot food: cookie monster cookies (yes, they were a thing!) tv show: the busy world of richard scarry drink: sunny delight memory: having fresh fruit every friday afternoon from a guy who came to our house to give us some (he worked for a market) did you have a best friend? not really- but a few people i'd play with do you know if you were a good baby? their were very few things that would shut me up, apparently did you have a fave song as a child? the smurfs- I have a little puppy (it's a thing!) fave subject at school? history did you have a fave teacher? yes, my english teacher mary were you good at school? no not really, always got up to things one subject you couldn't stand? math |

(Loving but chaotic) did you have your own room as a child? (No shared a room with my Twin Sister) did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? (A House) do you know what time you were born? (8:15pm... my Sister was born at 8:14pm) faves: as a child, what was your fave: toy: (Oh Penny... kinda like Barbie) food: (Turkey burgers or dinosaurs) tv show: Byker Grove (about a Newcastle Youth group) and Grange Hill (school drama) drink: Kaora (orange diluting juice) memory: (Summer holidays chilling with my friends) did you have a best friend? (My best friend other than my Sister was a girl also called Laura) do you know if you were a good baby? (I cried quite a lot) did you have a fave song as a child? (Pop groups like East 17) fave subject at school? (Modern Studies- politics) did you have a fave teacher? (Yes lots... loved school) were you good at school? (Yes was a bit of a geek) one subject you couldn't stand? (Maths) |

- neglectful and emotionally abusive mother, absent father did you have your own room as a child? - not until I was 8 years old did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? - various as we moved around a lot: apartments, townhouses, a cottage, even a rectory, and finally a house do you know what time you were born? - sometime after midnight faves: as a child, what was your fave: toy: - didn't have one but I sure liked my brothers GI Joe and Mecanno food: - soups I suppose tv show: - Six Million Dollar Man drink: tomato juice memory: - 'Sasquatch' hunting in the forest behind the cottage (I was 7, okay?) did you have a best friend? - the only best friend I've had was year I was 8. I still miss the friendship. do you know if you were a good baby? - I am not sure. I do think that my mom resented having me which explains a great deal of her parenting choices and behaviour towards me did you have a fave song as a child? - no, I grew up with no music except classical (bletch) fave subject at school? - history did you have a fave teacher? - Yes, Mr Swanzy who was my high school history teacher. His passion for the subject was bursting. (I want to point out my least favourite educator. Mrs Yardly was my grade one teacher - and she was terrifying. She would slap children and hit them with her ruler or yard stick. I cried and cried at night in fear. I cried and cried because she bullied a pair of twins mercilessly. Little Bobby and Kenny were foster children and wore hand me down clothing and didn't have much in the way of food to eat. They lead a miserable life constantly in fear of being this woman's target. Oh what a pure joy grade one was.) were you good at school? - right up to grade 12 I was constantly in fear. You bet I was good. one subject you couldn't stand? - chemistry |

A few friends, not really a best one do you know if you were a good baby? I was a good baby but had some trouble later in childhood did you have a fave song as a child? I had this tape where every song would mention my name. fave subject at school? math (but I hate it now) did you have a fave teacher? Yes, my second grade teacher. were you good at school? Yes, but I struggled socially once I got to elementary school. one subject you couldn't stand? gym other: I had a traumatic childhood experience but it didn't involve my family. Thank you for reminding me of the good times in my childhood. |

How would you describe the family you grew up with?
Somewhat unusual, though I was raised well. My parents highly valued freedom and liberty, and I was often allowed to play unsupervised around the neighborhood, even from a very young age. I additionally spent a large portion of my childhood on my own in my room, though it was mostly due to my introverted personality. Did you have your own room as a child? Yes. Did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? A two story house, though we eventually moved out once I was in high school. Do you know what time you were born? Approximately 8:00 AM. As a child, what was your favorite: Toy: PlayStation 2. Food: Macaroni and cheese, though I am not overly fond of it anymore. Television show: Spongebob when I was very little, and when I was a bit older, I enjoyed numerous anime. Drink: My parents only kept water and milk in the house, so I enjoyed most drinks which were not of those two. Memories: Shooting rifles and playing Capture the Flag at a camp that I visited frequently. Did you have a best friend? Yes, two. Do you know if you were a good baby? Somewhat. Did you have a favorite song as a child? Greensleeves. Favorite subject at school? It changed a fair amount. Did you have a favorite teacher? Plenty. Were you good at school? Yes. One subject you could not stand? When I was very little, reading, since I struggled to read at first. Later on, it was biology (and still is, even to college). |

How would you describe the family you grew up with?
Dysfunctional at best. Did you have your own room as a child? Depended on which house I was at. Did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? Houses, mostly. Do you know what time you were born? Around 6:00am. Faves: As a child, what was your fave: Toy: A tiny stuffed black cat. Food: Pizza. That hasn't really changed, to be honest. TV show: Digimon and Teen Titans. Drink: Orange soda. Memory: Sleeping outside under the stars. It was the only part of the summer I really enjoyed. Did you have a best friend? I don't know, to be honest? I had some kids over the years that would say we were best friends, but would ditch me for other kids pretty quickly. Do you know if you were a good baby? My mom tells me I was very quiet. So, I guess so. Did you have a fave song as a child? Pretty much anything by Hannah Montana. Fave subject at school? Reading. Did you have a fave teacher? I had a few, but my favorite would have been my 4th grade Reading teacher. She passed away in 2011, and I still miss her. Were you good at school? Academically, yes. Otherwise I hated it because I didn't get along with the other kids. One subject you couldn't stand? Math. Definitely math. This was a fun little survey

how would you describe the family you grew up with? Very middle-class Jewish family until I was 7. Then everything fell apart, my parents divorced; subsequently my step-father abused me. My mother basically lost her mind. did you have your own room as a child? Yes, I did. did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? A fairly large house in a very suburban neighborhood. do you know what time you were born? 2:53 p.m. faves: as a child, what was your fave: toy: My dolls, but mostly I loved to read and play dress-up with my friends. food: I didn't like food much. tv show: Little House on the Prairie and The Partridge Family. drink: Milk memory: Driving around in the VW Bug with my mother; my mother hysterically screaming at me. did you have a best friend? The same two I have to this day...Mary and Cindy. do you know if you were a good baby? I think I was...my older sisters gave me plenty of attention. did you have a fave song as a child? All the rock music my older sister listened to. I loved it! fave subject at school? Art did you have a fave teacher? Only in high school. A very dear teacher with whom I am still in contact decades later. were you good at school? I was well-behaved in school until high school, when I went pretty wild. It was the late-70's, after all... one subject you couldn't stand? Algebra, and I still can't comprehend it. |

We had our ups and downs but, I was often times sad. and wasn't taken to a mental health specialist until age 9. did you have your own room as a child? Not until I was 12 did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? We had different places and finally settled in an apartment. do you know what time you were born? On a Saturday in the am. faves: as a child, what was your fave toy: Generic Building Blocks food: Peanut Butter and apple sandwiches tv show: The Incredible Hulk drink: Cocolate Brownie memory: Being betweent 3 and 4 when my parents were still together. We did all kinds of cool stuff together. did you have a best friend? Not really. I was a loner and an outcast even then. do you know if you were a good baby? Maybe a quiet baby but, I'm really not sure. Got into some hand lotion once and got it all over me or so I was told. did you have a fave song as a child? Rain Drops Keep Falling fave subject at school? Does art class count? did you have a fave teacher? Yes. Third grade teacher. She once called the janitor, Mr. Elmore, Mr. Assmore by mistake when he was bending over to clean a toilet. were you good at school? Grade wise? I had some learning dissability type classes in some grades and got about average grades until the 5th grade where I started to not care anymore. one subject you couldn't stand? I hated math and I still do. |

 how would you describe the family you grew up with? unhappy, ignorant, neglectful, angry, silent, isolated, lonely. did you have your own room as a child? not til I was in about 3rd grade I think. did you grow up in a house, flat, or someplace else? tiny apartment, then house. do you know what time you were born? no faves: as a child, what was your fave: toy: I liked my books and drawing fantasy places and making official documents for those places. food: can't remember tv show: didn't watch much tv. maybe Arthur? drink: water memory: I had a pair of lime green boots I enjoyed a lot. did you have a best friend? no. do you know if you were a good baby? Never in the same place for more than two years, except once (three years). Lived everywhere from the YMCA, trailer, apartment, townhomes, houses, even a wealthy neighborhood once. do you know what time you were born? @6:00 a.m. faves: as a child, what was your fave: toy: Toy piano food: Pizza tv show: Flintstones drink: Chocolate milk (got it at school—I wasn’t allowed to have this at home) memory: Successfully auditioning for the state jazz choir did you have a best friend?
