Yes. He was in PF for their first album, right? Also on "Umma Gumma"? (Not sure if that's the name of the album. IMO, those were their best 2 albums. They were over for me around the Dark Side of The Moon.

Love Syd Barret. I think Robyn Hitchcock was a fan too, they have similar singing voices. I didn't have the first Floyd album on vinyl, but I've heard it many times and liked it very much. My Floyd collection started with Saucer Full of Secrets and a bunch of their later stuff. But I had some Syd Barret on CD, The Madcap Laughs and something else that came out later. Just recently old all my vinyl and CD's.

Huge Syd fan here. I’ve loved his music since I first heard him in my teams. By far my favorite musician. Solo work as well as with the Floyd. I just bought a nice little cd/dvd Blu-ray set. It has some really fun early (1965 - 66) stuff. They did old blues numbers, original rock songs and none of it was your standard formulaic music. There is always an odd time or key change, and of course his spastic guitar. I could literally talk about him all day.

Remember a Day from that album is all Syd. The slide guitar is masterful. Jugband blues is all him. The Salvation Army band on that track just kills me. He’s on corporal Clegg too. Some of the guitar parts couldn’t be anyone but Syd. Supposedly on the Saucerful of Secrets track too On the dvd set I mentioned, there is a live version of Set The Controls from 67 with. Syd. It’s called 1965 - 1967 Cambridge station. Some video I’ve not seen before. Sorry to ramble but like I said, I could discuss his music all day.
