No, I don't believe it's unlucky. In fact, just to go against the norm one time at a carnival I picked the number 13 and spun the wheel to see if I won a prize. I didn't win but nothing bad happened either.

Hi shattered sanity, I don't believe in numbers to be unlucky either; I think it's just coincidence and suggestion.
Fun fact, in Italy it is number 17 that has the reputation number 13 has in Anglo-American culture.
Thanks for this!

I dunno...I've often wondered if nature is biased towards some numbers over others. 2, for instance, and 4. Those numbers seem to come up more often in patterns or instances of "synchronicity," so I wonder if our brains are geared towards detecting these numbers as an evolutionary atavism? Could potentially shed a bit of light on people who perceive these numbers in nature more readily than others.

S***, the number thirteen is my lucky number. Ophiuchus being the thirteenth zodiac I reckon is where that might stem from. My special little niche within the center of the galaxy.

None of the above. I was raised in a Jewish family and according to Kabbalah, the number 13 is a lucky number.

I answered "I don't know." I mean I don't really follow numerology or don't really feel one way or the other towards numbers.

BUT.....

Every time "Friday the 13th" comes around every year on the calendar, I get slighty on edge. I don't even know where that comes from to be honest. It's weird.

I'll put it this way. I deliberately walk under ladders and break mirrors when I get the chance. I also open umbrellas in houses.

All of the addresses my husband ever had all had 13s somewhere in it. That was interesting, but didn’t seem to be bad luck.

That number 13 stuff is a bunch of nonsense. Now number 6 on the other hand, that number is just plain evil.

BTW the number 24 follows me.

Because of the mark of the beast being three sixes?
That's because the number of man is 6 because man was created on the sixth day. The three sixes are man trying to be God. That is where the evil is. The number 6 on it's on is just a number. I used to let my OCD torment me over this but, I'm done with it. Now that I know how it works it doesn't frighten me any more.

Just joking

I"m not afraid of any numbers. Although I was once afraid of 6"s because I was afraid I was evil... and yes, all the stuff from the movies. Luckily I don"t think that way anymore.

Eschatology will drive you batty--trust me. I speak from experience. Numerology, astrology...I often wonder if these psuedo-sciences have touched upon a natural rhythm/pattern of Nature itself, albeit in a crude, primitive fashion? We already know as a scientific fact that the moon has a psychological influence--crime has been shown to significantly increase during full moons.

13 is my favorite number. Two of my kids have birthdays on the 13th. My dads birthday was also the 13th. I have very good feelings about this number.
Thanks for this!
