I love all kinds of music, especially intense music. Can you share what music is intensely resonant, viscerally cool or just very moving or personal to you, and maybe with a link and/or maybe with a story?

(Full disclosure... I'm selfishly looking to experiment and expand my Spottify, but also I thought it would be fun).

This music has deeply personal meaning to me, and it's all wrapped up in experiences at the age 35 with a psychoanalyst (not mine!). It was an awakening period in my life, I would say, and while the relationship was inadvisable for all kinds of reasons, it's seared with intensity for me. I think the music captures that, and the passion involved at the time.

Thanks for this!

Bloody Cape by my favourite rock band Deftones is a song which reminds of two years in my life spent with a really awesome lady. I don't know what the song is really about, but in the chorus he says:

First we are ever to fall off of the earth
We must be the
First ones in the world to fall off of the earth.

And then the song ends with:

God help me.
