I think there are three single men moving into the apartment above me. They're already being loud and I can hear beer bottles clinking.

Eeeek. That would have me concerned, too. I hope it's just "moving day beers", and that there's just one or two considerate people there. Fingers crossed!

Thanks. They may have just been moving men. I'm not sure.

Yikes. I hope everything works out for you. I've lived in places where it sounded like they were holding kangaroo races upstairs.

Hehe. Yeah the walls are pretty thin and with the other tenants there, it sounded like, oh I don't know, elephants competing for the gymnastics gold medal. I had a hard time with that when I moved in, but got used to it. I also problem solved (ear buds, moved my bed) and complained at first, to management.

Whoever the next tenant is, it may be a learning curve, adjustment period for me, yes. I think it will be ok though.

My friend on Facebook, actually posted to me that not all dude-type men are bad. I think she's right. It made me feel better to hear her say that.

When I lived someplace that had cardboard walls, I could hear everything my neighbors did. So one day they were..... how shall I say it.... being affectionate with each other. I figured I'd turn on the radio. Give them a little bit of sound privacy.

The song playing just happened to be Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, "Let's Make Love."

Hahaha, good idea lol. Thanks for that. Perhaps I'll have to try that next time. I've had neighbors with that issue as well.

This is why apartment living would never have been successful for me in my younger years. I am quieter now at 53.....but still I occasionally crank the stereo.

I once lived on floor 2 of a three floor walk up and had a downstairs neighbor who was so loud that the upstairs neighbors complained. Actually I think all the neighbor's complained, except me, I took my hearing aids out.
