I have been coming and going for awhile on Psych Central. Recently I have noticed that some of my "old friends" here on Psych Central have left. They are replaced by "Anonymous" but one can figure out who they are from the replies boxes.

It saddens me when olden goldens leave. I know that sometimes people return and assume new profiles.

I opt to keep my profile up and probably will never go anonymous.

To all those olden goldens who stick around... THANK YOU. I love seeing familiar profile pix when I return. You know who you are. Sometimes people change their profile pix but keep their same name and in that way are recognized.

Thank you, olden goldens, for you steady presence here on Psych Central.

I've followed your posts for years.

I was friends with you. I had a mini meltdown and deleted my account, but returned. So my previous 2500 posts are all anonymous now.

I hear you, DD. Lots of really special people around the forum have left. I miss them and I am concerned about them.

Let's see...I've been a daily poster here for 3 1/2 years. This forum means a great deal to me; in fact, I find so much support and challenge here that it's kind-of replacing a need for individual therapy for me. There are some really terrific people on PC. And if they're not terrific, they're teachers .

Ah, thanks. I have been getting some real life hugs from unexpected places/people this summer. But hugs on Psych Central have special meaning.

I've seen a lot of people come and go. I miss some of them from time to time. Mainly the ones who had the most animated writing.

I went away and came back. Even though I'm feeling stable I hope to stick around for a while.

I've been a member here since august of 2012, and it's now the only forum I'm still active on (all the others either went down, I deleted, or got banned from)

Hi...just over 6 years here, for me.

Recognizing old members here is at about half and half for me. I see a few friends from the good old days...but an awful lot have left.

I always hope they are doing better, and that's why they're gone.

It's hard for me to believe I will be here 14 years in October. I have gone through so much & come so far in that time.

Only a few of the ones I met when I first came are still here & I lost my best friend from here last January to a medical complication. I miss her every day....we had ended up friends IRL too.
