Today, I put a burger patty on the stove, went to answer a 'quick' message, and a little while later...the house was full of smoke. I had to open windows and set up fans...it was thick, too. now the whole house smells like burned meat and so does my hair. Is anyone else stupid today??

Sorry. That sucks. My folly is that I ate several burgers today. That much meat is bad for anyone

Oh no! It's so easy to get distracted and forget that we have things cooking (I tend to forget about laundry in the washing machine... and find it a week later, lol!)

I'm working from home. It's a slow day, and I'm depressed - so I ran out for some chocolate this morning. I'm also in the habit of muttering sarcastically while driving at the stupidity of nearly everyone around me

As I was crossing the last aisle of the parking lot, a car came whizzing by... didn't stop, and nearly hit me! After they passed, I said... out loud and sarcastically, "It's OK! It's totally fine to run over pedestrians!" - and then saw a guy who had been on other side (i.e. leaving the store) walking towards me.

I'm sure he heard me, and I kind of felt like an idiot... lol. Should have maybe kept that one inside my head

re: Other people doing dumb things, at the store, someone was parked with their car only half in the space. Like... they pulled halfway in to the parking space, but not all the way in, so they were blocking half of the road and making it hard to drive by their car. There wasn't anyone in the car, it was clearly parked... but just parked so very badly.

Who does that? Who thinks that's OK?!

I was acting pretty dumb today at work from side effects from new meds. They were causing me to be really chilled out. My manager told me I looked lost. Luckily she was really nice.

Dumb thing done today - I was ironing and tripped over the cord then hot iron dropped onto the carpet hot side down. Picked the iron up straight away. Full iron mark in carpet. Iron in bits now in the bin. Rasum Frasum.
