I was wondering if anyone else here has watched/read the anime/manga March comes in like a Lion (3gatsu no Lion)?
It's a brilliant piece of literature, regardless of what your personal opinion on anime might be,so I very heavily suggest it if you haven't yet. I thought I would bring it up in this forum because the themes and issues addressed by the writer are very relevant to this forum, and she expresses emotional/mental turmoil in gorgeous but striking metaphors and imagery. Despite the rawness and dark nature of some of the topics touched upon, the writer Umino Chica brilliantly uses juxtaposition of bright, contrasting optimism and compassion to give purpose to her work. I feel I should warn, despite the subtlety of the writing, that the work touches upon topics such as Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Disassociation, and even Bullying/Abuse (including possibly violence of a sexual nature, though very ambiguous and not explicitly shown at all). 3gatsu no Lion handles these with quiet maturity, but I understand that these things can be triggers for some people, so please exercise caution. Has anyone here experienced this manga/anime? What did you think? Please feel free to discuss it. __________________ I do not think one can explain growth. It is silent and subtle. One does not keep digging up a plant to see how it grows.

I actually watched it while it was airing, but only got to episode 16! I will have to go back and finish it now that I was reminded of it. Thank you.
