When I was young I dressed goth at the metal end of it. I quite liked it. As I got older I changed style piece by piece. Not so much black even if I still like black and use it a lot, just not only black usually like before.
I like wearing layers like leggings under skater shorts (normally just shorts weather is rare here), and an oversized top, usually multi colored, or a one color top under a big T. Usually wear multi color sneakers or high top sneakers one color sneakers (with laces in another color). With short sneakers I like long socks. I like hoodies or fleece vests if it gets cold. I rarely get really cold so I don't wear proper winter wear. Despite this style I rarely use hats because my head gets so hot. But I might wear fingerless gloves. My main colors are black, dark blue, grey, some green, some white, some red and my favorite color orange but I don't wear it so much. My clothes are for the most part soft even if I have some tough longer than knee long rough shorts as well. I have half my back long hair but I notice it is thinning out and getting shorter because of age. My natural color is medium brown and grey but right now I have a big lighter at the ends and a yellowish color on top of my head. I don't use make up other than nail polish once in a blue moon. I have clean, soft skin so I look fine as I am I think. My face is starting to look a little older because it is not round anymore but no wrinkles beside my forehead where I have an "angry wrinkle" I inherited from my mom's side of the family. I love it. When people ask what style you rock, it's hard to explain. People have suggested a mix of skater, geek and emo. It's funny since I rollerblade and I don't like emo music. I guess you could just call me a freak. But it's not very descriptive. I am in the process of getting new glasses and I am so confused what shape to get. I can't wear contacts because of dry eyes. I have never realized my style is any different because when you are young you are allowed any style. I sort of forgot I am past 40 now. Luckily I live in a very allowing end of town where we can dress the way we like without anyone teasing you. We have everything from costumes to fine dresses to jeans and sweater and dark coat, to traditional eastern Muslim wear and traditional African wear. I don't like shiny colors on myself but I like how the Africans mix and match bright colors that western people claim don't match. I realized when someone said I looked younger because of my acting and my clothes. Otherwise I look my age beside being short and then everyone thinks you're younger even if it is impossible. If you rock a different style, please share! Clothes per se don't interest me but I totally love personal styles that you can see the person is really mentally comfortable in. Also I am glad I am in a country where you can go to an office job in everyday clothes. To me, dressing up for work is weird. I have never met like an office worker or therapist that had dressed up. Also people hire those with tattoos here, no problem.
