This year I am Dr. Jane Goodall. I think I do a terrific representation. I will be making an appearance at two Halloween/Costume parties, one at a local bar and another at the Casino. Both have costume competitions with prizes. At the casino, the winner of "Most Unique" wins $400! Mine certainly stands out and I'm hoping my costume is a winner!

I take Halloween costumes serious (seriously FUN!). Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. I LOVE dressing up in costume and since high school I've been creating costumes "from scratch" AKA using my creative mind to find the right pieces a la thrift stores and creating an epic costume. I would have to say that out of all my costumes, Heath Ledger's Joker was the most well received. That photo I'll be hoping to find in Photobucket, so quality and size will be crappy, but I got everyone's attention on that one, including from a drunk chick at a bar (yep, she was soooo drunk and I was wayyyy too young to be at a bar, but she was so drunk that she didn't know I was a girl and was buying me shots and totally flirting with me!)

Here are some past costumes I've done, feel free to share yours!

I hope you win this year! It would be a nice start to your first H'ween in Oregon. Halloween is my favorite holiday, too. It's terrific that you have all the pics of your costumes.
I have worn so, so many costumes, but have only one of myself in costume. It wasn't Halloween, it was my 18th birthday, December of 1980. My senior year in high school. My friends and I went to The Rocky Horror Picture Show 42 times that year. I always dressed as Magenta. Best Saturday nights ever!

Aaaaand I am hoping, considering the nature of these 21+ events, I'll meet and dance with some cute guys and girls my own age. It's time for LL to find some romance, and have a little fun, too!

This look would suit me to a T. I don't know if I have enough time to pull it together, however.

I am so excited for the party tonight! My parents suggested I spend a night in a hotel because it's way cheaper than taking a taxi, and honestly, it's less than HALF the cost! A one way in a taxi $45, and then so much to go from one party to the next, and then another $45 for a ride back! Ridiculous!

I'm so excited because my dad and I sat down and looked at the hotels and this was the nicest one for the cost and even has an indoor hot tub and free breakfast and wifi! Woot woot!

Even though I want to go to both, it's cheaper to skip one of the parties, but I'll pull a little extra out to play some games.

It was amazing! I danced with three different people, got phone numbers from two of the people who danced with me, had a shot and a few margaritas, and I played a Willy Wonka slot and a Halloween slot, won $20 playing blackjack, and when I left the casino I only spent $7! The shuttle to and from the hotel was free. I went hot tubbing before I got ready for the party which was so nice, I soaked a long time and the water was just right. When I was in costume I got sooo many compliments, lots of people knew who I was. I put myself out there and chatted up everybody I could, I even asked a few people to dance myself. I had a blast.
Thanks for this!

I'm going to write my experience in the Jane Goodall journal my mom made me. It was definitely a night to remember and it'd make a good keepsake!
