Friends,
After being off from school for a week, I'm having a really hard time getting going again on my work. It might have taken me awhile today, but at least I made some progress. Is anyone else having problems with getting going on things? Hugs, EJ |

I've been lucky and we've been having some yucky weather so I feel I can put things off a bit :-) Did get to the library today so stuff wouldn't be overdue and I'm trying to do 1 or 2 things a day, just in passing; an extra load of laundry here, a carry stuff upstairs or put stuff away there; that adds a little more organization into the chaos.
Today I got a book at the library that might help me with my stalled studies and finally changed my bed :-) had a shower and a nap and feel better. I have a regular doctor's checkup tomorrow.

EJ711,
After every vacation I had trouble getting moving again at work. This did not make sense to me because I should be rested and therefore be able to jump right in, but we are not alone. There was a very comical conversation between my husband, my daughter the college student, and my youngest children in High School about who was in the worst position after vacation. The kid in HS was left in the dust as his sister and father one-upped each other of the horrors that awaited them when they returned to work/school.

AAAAA,
What makes it extra hard, to my way of thinking right now, I work out of my home. I only go to campus one day a week to actually deliver the lectures I work on the rest of the week. :roftl: Anyway -- today I won't have to deal with it. I'm going to get my hair cut and colored. My students are scheduled to do presentations in both classes, so I think I'm going to be just fine. I just never remember moving so slowly after a holiday before. I really felt like a snail. Your family sounds very lively and fun! EJ |

I bet your students are feeling just as snaily? You will know by their presentations I imagine. I think I've always felt something "else" between Thanksgiving and New Years? It's an "odd" time of year full of all sorts of undercurrents and eddies.

Of course you will be fine! You just have to learn that sometimes "good enough" IS good enough!
