What's up PC!

How about a little poll?

I've always thought that it would be murder on my shoes leaving them tied all the time. But lately with life getting a little busier, I've started to get lazy and have started experimenting with leaving my shoes tied, even when they're back in the closet. Then I am able to put them back on the next day already tied without any fuss.

What do you guys think? Do you guys think that it's perfectly cool to leave shoes tied all the time, off or on?

Or do you always untie them regardless of laziness or ease of tying/putting on your kicks?

Idk; I don't wear any shoes that tie.

LOL I just realized that my slip-ons might reflect my laziness about my shoes, LOL Although, I do wear some cold weather shoes that zip up but I always unzip those.

I am not helping, am I? Sorry!!!

Haha don't worry about it! This thread is purely for fun. I'll still count your response as "Not to Tie".

I sometimes leave my tennis shoes tied. For work, I usually wear slip ons.

As long as we remember that this could create a falling hazard, we are good to go!

When we leave them untied they don't fit as snug and could cause our feet to slip or ankles to turn (ouch) and send us tumbling down.

Back when I was young and could bounce right back up, that wasn't an issue.

Now that I'm older and could risk breaking something, it's a whole other ballgame.

However, I gotta admit, it is nice to not have to fool around with all the lacing and tying and whatnot!

I dont wear shoes with laces anymore. Just not my style. When I did though, I left them double knotted all the time and would slip in and out of them.

I wear skater shoes so I usually just slip mine on and off. They usually come untied at some point during the day though.

I'm usually in heels or dress flats, I usually leave my heels unbuttoned when I take them off that way it's much easier to get into. I wear sneakers on occasion and I usually leave them tied and untie them in the morning, if I left them untied one of my cats would probably be carrying the lace in his mouth dragging the shoe around him. So I guess tied then untie is my answer.

Ha - just to totally make this more confusing...

I tie my sneakers when I put them on (my usual shoes for running errands).
When I get home, I slip my feet out of them, leaving them tied.
But, when I go out again, I untie them to put them, and retie them on my feet.

And... repeat. So I guess they are tied when put away in the closet (not that they ever make it that far), but also untied when I put them on!

Shoes? If I had a choice I'd never wear any. I usually wear sandles till the snow flies then it's zippered boots. I do have some runners though and they stay tied all the time. That's what you wanted to know right. Couldn't care less about the sandles.

Maybe I guess the choice is both then!

Not too shabby! Although I'm a redneck and couldn't even begin to imagine sandals when it gets to be even just a little cold

I tie all the time, Clark's shoe wearer all my life, well in the last 20 years anyway. I did have a pair of wine color boots a few years back but kind of stopped wearing them. Trainers, shoes, and motorcycle boots all have laces. The aforementioned wine boots have none.

** UPDATE!!! **

For those still interested in the outcome of this thread-based poll, I have an estimate of the votes:

To Tie? 4
Or not to Tie? 7

No-tie Wins!

I tie my shoes everyday. never really put any thought into the weight of the activity being anything but something you do. I tie them to keep them from falling off, and untie them when I take them off because they don't come off easily without doing so. but then it takes me all of about 10 seconds per shoe to either tie or untie them so I've never thought of it as much of an inconvenience -- except, EXCEPT on those late nights when you realize you forgot something in your car and you have to go through putting on pants, shirt, jacket and shoes... but that doesn't happen often XD

I tie a pair of sneakers once maybe twice when I first get them. After that it's slip on slip off. I haven't tied/untied sneakers in many many years, since high school. My feet are odd shaped, wide and the top part of my foot is high/thick. So I need to keep my sneakers loose to be comfortable.

Man the time that I've been slipping in and out of sneakers that tie are like the blink of an eye to you

I tie my shoes because I can. I lost a considerable amount of weight & had to grunt & groan to tie my shoes...damn near had a stroke when I tried to do it. As a result, I tied my shoes loosely so I could just slip in to them; I called them my "fat shoes." Now that I don't have a gut, I tie & untie them each time I put them on. What a luxury! Like the song says, "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone!"
