No idea. I don't own anything which plays DVDs. I usually stream content through Netflix and other streaming services.
Could you buy digital copies of the movies you want to watch? Here, you can do that through Walmart and download them to your computer. Then you don't need a DVD player. |

I thought you could not. It has something to do with something called regions and you need a certain region for certain DVDs. In 2011 I tried buying a VHS from England that was not available in the states. But it could not be played on my VHS player because I was in a different region so it was not compatible with my player.

I’m sorry you already mentioned regions.

You can maybe play them on your computer if it’s an older one and you still have CD slit on there

I don't know of any programs, but my husband and I have a universal DVD player. We found it in the US and can play both US and European DVDs on it. This was appealing because my sister-in-law (living in Czech Republic) would send us DVDs from there with Czech movies. We wanted to play them in the US. Now, we live in Czech Republic. We can still play both US and European DVDs on it.
I think that when a DVD player is indicated as "region free" or "all region free" or "all regions" it is a universal DVD player. These appear to still be available, with some quite reasonably priced. Many I see on Amazon.de (Amazon Germany) are as reasonably priced as below 40 Euros, if not BlueRay. See this web page: https://www.winxdvd.com/dvd-play/bes...dvd-player.htm __________________ Dx: Bipolar type 1 Psych Medications: * Tegretol XR (carbamazepine ER) 800 mg * Lamictal (lamotrigine) 150 mg * Seroquel XR (quetiapine ER) 600 mg I also take meds for blood pressure, cholesterol, and tachycardia. |
