I've added a signature to my posts. It comes from a song/poem by Leonard Cohen, but my inspiration comes from one of my favorite books. The book is "How the Light Gets In" bu Louise Penny. One of the ongoing themes in the book is that we are all damaged in some way, but the cracks from that damage allow love and goodness in. To me the book and poem mean that wicked things can happen to us. We can be damaged by those things, BUT we can heal and the light get in.

I'm integrated from DID. Before I integrated my various parts and I were afraid they would disappear if I integrated. They didn't. They are still inside me. Today I compare myself to a Lucite 3D puzzle I own. Each piece exists as its own entity, but together they make a whole thing.

sorry, I'm sort of rambling....

This is Amazing!! What do you mean by integrating from DID? I don't understand that part.

I had (have?) Dissociative Identity Disorder, used to be called multiple personality disorder. Integrating means all my parts are united into the person the world sees now. All those parts are still inside me. They did not go away. I can tap into them if I need to.
