a while ago I posted a thread asking how you first got online and your earliest memory

now I'm wondering.. do you have any other online memories you want to share?

I'll start- the first time someone showed me how to download music, I downloaded an album by tori amos

watching the album download and finally work in it's entirety.. well it was like I'd just accomplished a massive thing- I hadn't, but at the time that's how it felt

also I have to post about msn messenger, it's where I first met bethany and ultimately had a long lasting friendship (my only long lasting one)

My first online friend was in 1999 on Yahoo chatroom from Sydney Australia and we still keep intouch on face book. That is a memory that stick out in my mind

Chatting in a live chat room of the metal band System of a Down, around 2002. My friend was at my place and we had great fun because one member said he was a guy. Since English isn't our native language, we thought he was "gay" because we didn't know what "guy" meant. We were 13 or 14 at the time and we giggled like crazy because we thought it was funny he told us so openly about his sexual orientation

Discovering Snopes in August 2004, and spending hours on it everyday after school in 6th grade. Also spending hours on Funny Junk, in 2004 and 2005. Now both websites are redone, and are pretty stupid.
