Another poll that's just for fun.

I roll around a little from time to time, but I tend to sleep on my sides or on my front (slightly askew). I rarely sleep on my back and not for long. My arms or hands usually support my head and neck a little because I like thin and relatively stiff pillows. I don't like big pillows because I either sink in and suffocate or have my neck cranked up too much for my liking.

Everyone says they don't snore. I snore. I admit it. I've snored loud enough to wake myself up. Everyone in my family snored, even the women. Heck, the cats snored loudly. No one ever tried to break into the house.

I have to fall asleep on my side but I eventually roll over to my back. I sleep in the fetal position when I'm on my side. I sleep sideways across the bed, so my feet are always curled up, or hanging off the side. I like to give my cats plenty of space to spread out. Kit

everyone says sleeping like a baby to describe really good sleeping, but you've just nailed it

never understood where sleeping like a baby = perfect sleep came from

I usually fall asleep on my right side. I like falling asleep on my left side, but I don’t like it if I’m not facing the door. I start having all these scary intrusive thoughts of scary stuff I’ve read on the internet. I sleep pretty good but I have about 1 day a week where I wake up between 1AM-3AM and can’t get back to sleep.

I can't pick just one of these. There are several that suit me. I start on my side to get comfortable and relax. But have to go on my front to fall asleep, clutching things.. lol. Then I'm all over the bed, snoring, sheets every where up every little bit... so where does my check mark fit? I drive my boyfriend mad cause he just wants to cuddle but he's asleep in under 2 minutes and he starts to snore AND he's a furnace!! Lol. 💜💜💜 good poll tho!!!

Mostly on my side. Sometimes in a recliner. I think I snore.
Ps. I don't sleep if my feet are cold.

I'm all over the place. My legs are draped over my pig, my cat is on my chest. Eventually the cat moves after I fall asleep, I think I roll over at some point, get lost in my blankets, and clutch my pillow and stuffed pig for dear life. Sleeping is a messy sport for me.

It's a multiple choice poll. People can click on all the options that apply to them.

I'm pretty sure the site software doesn't have do-overs. But that's okay, people put more entertaining and interesting stuff in the replies than I ever would have thought of putting in the list.

Another side sleeper.

I also, for no reason that I can pinpoint, sleep better on my right side. When I try to sleep on my left - I often jerk awake as I'm trying to fall asleep in a panic, and sometimes find myself very confused. I don't know what that's about.

I don't sleep so much as I nest. I have to have a pillow to put my feet on, one for between my knees and no less than four across the top of the bed. Must also have a number of sheets and blankies I can burrow under if I want.

Once all that is accomplished I'm a side sleeper, preferably the left side. And then I will wake up about every 60-90 minutes because I have to pee or I have to roll over or just body aches and pains. sleeping is so much fun

I was happy to discover we could vote for more than one thing and picked several. I start the night falling asleep on my side, but all bets are off after that. Some nights I barely move all night. Wake up in the morning in the same position with the covers undisturbed. Other night I'm all over the bed in my sleep.

I have chronic fatigue so I can sleep almost anywhere. I've been known to fall asleep at stop lights. Have also fallen asleep sitting at my desk at work doing paperwork.

Yep, I snore. Have woken myself up. Yep, I drool.

Drooling is a slight hazard when sleeping on my front, even though my head is to the side. (What can I say? I'm in fairly good shape and don't have any neck or back problems. I find being on my front(ish) comfortable and relaxing without putting pressure on anything. Usually my forearms are under the pillow, often under my head.)

Mostly I don't drool. The odd time I do, I usually subconsciously feel it starting and wake up with a loud in-drawn slurp to reflexively keep from getting goober on the pillow. (Eew!) I thought that might be a little more than most people would want to know.

"Nest" is good. I should have used that phrase instead of "Snugly tucked in".

I put the chair option in because some people have physical issues and need a recliner or some such at times. Myself, I learned to sleep sitting upright in my 30s while traveling, but tend not to do it otherwise. I don't want to mess up my neck by not supporting it properly on a routine basis.

I kind of suck at this life thing -- but *sleeping* I can do. I can sleep in cars, trains, planes and boats. Haven't tried rockets yet, but I rather doubt it.

I have heard sleeping on your back is better for your back, but I can't get comfortable that way so I end up on my stomach. Lately I've been coughing a lot so I try to prop my head up on several pillows.

I really don't think I snore. I don't sleep with anyone right now, but no roommates have ever mentioned snoring. I do mumble in my sleep though and I have drooled.
Thanks for this!

Your poll made me laugh! I sleep on my right side and also my back. Wish there was a cat I didn't actually own with me. That would be nice.
