Did you treat yourself lately?

I ordered some things from Sephora: Caudalie skincare set and the Vinosource Radiance serum, Farmacy Honeymoon Night Serum, BeautyBio facial oil, Sephora Cream lipstick in Warm Kiss and English Rose.

I bought and read a new book " The Forest of Hands and Teeth". It was interesting.

I ordered some nice soaps from Etsy, some are goat milk soaps and some are fancy Christmas soaps.

A couple of subscription boxes. I picked up earlier than planned the Origins Ginzing Eye Cream at a discounted price. Tried it this morning for the first time. I'm one of the fortunate shadows/darkness under the eyes ones. I don't really have a lot of puffiness but my kids even have this so after watching a Sephora tutorial...I've had my moisturizer on at 5:30am with my make up a little after...it's 8:30pm it does do something under my makeup so...definitely a treat.
I'll let you know in a few weeks my new choice in daytime moisturizer. I'm sampling...Luminance Deep Hydration( so far I'm pleased), Youth to The People Kale & Spinach Green Tea HA, Drunk Elephant Protini PolyPeptide Creme, Tatcha Silk as well as Water and I may even give Rooted Beauty Purifying Moisturizer a try. Not sure yet, only on week one of trial. A couple of ounces can last me almost a year and I'm taking into account shelf life.
I'm set on serums, face wash, toner, masks for the time being.

Well, that all depends. I try to treat myself every day, not necessarily monetarily. Two weeks ago, I had extra money so I played the slots, winning $50 the first week and losing $60 the second week, so technically only losing $10.

Last Sunday I had a girl's night with my new friend, we studied for a couple hours and then did face masks, played games, drank wine coolers and then watched Shrek.

This week, I treated myself to nice coffee and hot chocolate, organized the trunk of my car (that's my kind of treat myself), and listened to my iPod and worked on my Spotify playlist for when my iPod dies.

I think tonight, I'll treat myself by drawing something and have a few drinks.

I tried a sample of the Origins eye cream. It was decent on me, but I love Fresh Black Tea eye cream more.

I would love to hear about the Drunk Elephant cream. I may get it as my Sephora birthday freebie this year.

Those are good ways to treat yourself. Speaking of hot chocolate,I picked up Lake Champlain Hot Cocoa from a discount department store. I was thrilled to find it because it's usually $13 at Whole Foods.

That's how I got mine. It's .5z so in theory it could take me several weeks, unless it really doesn't mesh with me which I cannot see why it wouldn't.

I've tried other eyecreams and like the DHC one at night. It takes forever to absorb so it's certainly not a daytime cream for me.
It's amazing to me how different products work variedly different for many as we all have different biological/chemical makeups. No pun intended

I went to the cinema. It was a mysterious thriller about people getting lost in the mountains. At first I thought it was cheesy but eventually I liked it.
I might treat myself to a face mask and bath in Epsom salt.

I haven't tried the cleanser that is part of the little birthday box of creme and cleanser and I don't really want to sway you as we all take to different products differently.
Day 1. I am using as morning and nighttime to try it for a full week. I want to love it because it's DE afterall. It's clean and all that good stuff. My skin is no stranger to the more vegan types of lines of skin care. Touching my face feels a bit greasy as opposed to soft or feeling like there's nothing there. It's possible that it isn't mixing with my toner or serum? Not sure. I wasn't noticing this, this morning, at the same time I was hurrying to head out the door. It's worth the sample if deciding between the two sephora options for your gift.

I figured out the culprit for me with this moisturizer. There's a derivative of coconut oil. I have this nighttime moisturizer of another brand that I thought was going to be so great. Then I started using it. Same thing happened, leaves me feeling greasy. It also shares some coconut oil in the ingredients. It's how my skin balances. Hence mentioning not to let my experience sway you. There's nothing wrong with it, per se. And I look forward to trying the No.9 Cleansing Jelly that came with it. Looking through that list of ingredients, could be a winner.

Does getting my laundry done count?...I think Oct or Nov was the last time I did it. It has been piling up.

I've had weekends where getting things done around my home felt like such a weight off my shoulders. So, I'd say that yes, it counts

☆ Having baths.

☆ Reading books (self-help books have made me feel positive).

☆ Going for walks to the park.

☆ Wearing as many different clothes as I can that I either haven’t worn before or haven’t worn for a long time.

☆ Making sure my hair, makeup and nails are always done.

☆ Leaving the house almost any chance I get.

☆ Trying to help people feel better.

☆ Being more positive about everything.

This is a wonderful thread!

Last time I treated myself I bought some new books and a plush llama

The next time I'm going to is on the upcoming weekend. I'm gonna have a pumpkin spice latte as a reward for making it through another week with my classes

I actually treated myself last Friday when my friends treated me to my birthday lunch & day away. We found a quilt shop in the middle of nowhere & I got a hand yarn spinner & some wool to practice on because I am wanting to spin into yarn the bags of dog fur I have collected the last 11 years. I have had so many expenses lately I have not been treating myself to anything except paying my expenses so this little treat was a real splurge.

Maybe you can try eBay or Poshmark. Temptalia has a dupe list. She may have found a dupe.

My favorite lipstick formulas are Urban Decay Vice, Clinique Long Lasting, Tarte Tartiest Lip Paint, NYX Soft Matte Cream, Revlon Super Lustrous, and Bobbi Brown.
