I’m currently staying at the hospital (non mental health related) and I’ve had nightmares lately that are very graphic and realistic. I find myself jumping out of bed to check the window and door and listen if I hear people talking or moving, hid my sunglasses thinking they were trying to be taken from me etc. I usually enjoy lucid dreaming, but not this go around. Idk If psych meds with strong narcotics has any effect but I am having small hallucinations. Haldol and Lamictal being my main meds, given IV Dilaudid and breakthrough tablet Percocet. Small things like a piece of paper slowly moving across the floor or seeing something walk past a half open door and my girlfriend not around etc.

I can't really comment on this knowledgeably. But what I can say is that quite a few years ago now I underwent some major surgery & was given a morphine drip while I was in the hospital. When I got home I had some of the most intense, vivid dreams I can ever recall having. One I remember that was particularly disturbing involved being stung over-&-over by a swarm of bees. (I recall feeling every sting! It could not have been more painful if it had actually been happening.) So, based on that, I would think the medications you're taking certainly could be the cause of the nightmares you're having & perhaps some of the other things you described as well. Hope you begin feeling better soon.
