No snow. No Jack Frost, either.

It's been a topsy-turvy day: laughter and weeping.

For learning from my mistakes. Real example. Earlier today I went out to visit a woman friend. I checked the weather on the internet but I didn't check out the wind chill factor. Result was wasn't dressed warm enough. I learned to read the entire weather report from now on. Luckily I didn't catch a cold. I'll be more observant, careful next time.

Wonderful coffee in the mornings.
A comfortable bed. Adorable cats. Lovely friends. A caring mom. Exciting games to play. __________________ ‘Live for now,’ ‘This too shall pass,’ ‘Everything is happening for my good.’ |

Grateful to behold the splendor of the sunset [haven't seen too many sunrises lately, though] dipping over the suburban horizon.

Today I am very grateful that my partner decided to say goodbye instead of marrying me, only for our marriage to fail miserably. Although it caused hurt and disillusionment in my daughter and I, today we are grateful things came to a head when my partner packed her bags and returned to the USA.
Now, Juni and I can find interesting things to do together. She has a lovely group of friends and is bound to make new ones at this school she will be starting soon. The teachers welcomed us and we felt good, my daughter extra happy at the friendliness there. My Chief said he would allow my work to flow around my daughter's needs, and has put me on a new rota specially for mothers who have children. I am very grateful to be working among such fine people, all professionals like myself. Things are going to be interesting, and positive, too. Now we have freedom to do as we like, and come home to a warm and welcoming house. __________________ |

Small acts of kindness that people don’t even realize made such an impact.

Groceries arriving from online buying saved me from driving into town in this awfully wet weather.
