Answer according to What percentage of Americans own stocks? | PolitiFact California Fewer than 50% of American families even own stocks, and obviously the top 10% of Americans, in terms of wealth, own most of the stock. So, obviously, the top 10% are the ones most benefiting (in any significant way) from a good day on the stock market. |
