I'll give it a 10/10 - We had small portions of a number of things:

* Apéritif - Small taste of white port wine from Porto, Portugal with reheated small piece of spanikopita (not homemade, but delicious baked from frozen - Trader Joe's)
* La soupe - Half bowl of freshly homemade chicken vegetable orzo soup from homemade chicken stock. It is amazing! God has given me a gift! Leftovers in fridge for tomorrow. Two containers for freezer.
* La salade - Three slices of ripe tomato topped with a store purchased mozzarella roulade with prosciutto and fresh basil. I topped it with fresh basil leaves, Meyer lemon olive oil and balsamic vinegar, sea salt/pepper
* Le plat principal - Small portion leftover homemade Chicken Artichoke Piccata (a William's Sonoma recipe) with small glass of Italian Pinot Grigio wine
* Le café - A single espresso

Obsessively dieting. (Well, my BMI really is disgusting.)

Dinner: Handful of shredded low fat cheese. A few frozen cherries. Hibiscus tea.

No. No. No. This is like a minus something...like minus five :/

A meal has to be basically orgasmically good for me to give it a 10/10. Last night mine was 9/10 - A special spaghetti dish I made also containing browned slices of chicken Italian sausage, sun-dried tomatoes with oil from jar, oregano and fresh basil, pine nuts, onion, and Parmesan cheese. Also I had mixed veggies and a small glass Pinot Grigio wine. Two small squares Lindt orange peel chocolate.

Rice, broccoli, and fish. 2/10. The broccoli and fish were good. The fish was super spicy and I have major issues with spicy stuff. I took one bite before my upper lip became numb for a good 10 minutes. It’s still hurting. I think I have an allergy to specific spices.

8.5/10 - I bought bibimbap takeout for both me and my husband. It was a treat. I hadn't had it for years.My town is opening more and more inexpensive restaurant/joints serving various types of Asian food. I'm happy about that. It reminds me of when I used to enjoy all kinds of Asian cuisine in Berkeley, CA. I live on the east coast, which is where I'm from. My town is a university town, too, but had previously catered more towards wealthier locals rather than students. I'm glad it's evening out more.
