I want to know:

are you happier online or offline, and why?

I am happier online because all my friends are their, I can be myself, and time goes faster because I'm actually not bored

I find offline I don't really have much of a social life

but that's just me. offline is probably healthier, but that isn't the question here.

the question is: which one makes you happier

I see benefits to both. Sometimes I need a break from online though. Sometimes I need a break from offline too though! Lol. I guess it's all about balance.

I don't have a lot of IRL friends, but the two that I do have are very special to me and we are very close so I do cherish the offline time I have spending it with mostly them. I also love spending time with my family(Mom, Dad, and 14 year old younger Brother). They are my Rocks and are very supportive of me so I like hanging out with them and showing love for me.

I also like my time online as well. In the short time I have been here I have met some awesome people. My in real life friends other than the friend I just met in the Psych Hospital who was my first roomie and we exchanged numbers they all do not have psych issues like myself. So coming on here with all of you gives me a whole different perspective of friends who have gone through a lot of the same **** as I have.

So I guess I like a balance of both worlds.

I am way happier offline as I am extroverted and thrive off of socialization. If I am online a lot I get depressed (not counting recently as I just have free time at work). Sometimes I wish I was busier so I could be offline more. It's not healthy being online all the time (at least not for me).

I like both. It's difficult to choose. It depends on what I'm doing offline or who I'm with.

penguinh, is that an actual leek that guy is holding?

Both offline and online I tend to be one to keep to myself so i spend most of my alone time online and that helps me to not isolate in my thoughts. I love to cook and so i go to a cooking class every week and day program. I enjoy the people there too. I am happy i have both because it helps the depression not get so bad at times.

one of the major disadvantages to online time is the drama

though I'm not on social media, I usually find it somewhere else (on role playing games, on forums, even on emails sometimes.)

I am happy no matter where I am. Since I got out of the bad marriage life is good on & off line. I am me no matter where I am & I finally love my life.

Some of my online is just communicating with my IRL friends...kinda how we keep in touch between getting together

Mixed.
I haven't had any friends for a couple of decades, so my social life is pretty much entirely online, though I do have a family who I can talk to.
If I could choose, though, I'd have a couple of RL friends who I coukd talk to and do things with.
