So yes, my favorite movie as a child was Fluke. I tried to write up a summary for the movie, but it was reaaaally long, so I'll just link the page on wikipedia

here are some of the verdicts that I have reached:

1. as a kid, I had the attention span of a Walnut
2. This movie is alot more cheesy then I remember it
3. Even after almost a decade- this is still my favorite movie.

I just don't understand why it got such horrible reviews. I think it's a great movie, especialy for kids. Buuut, I guess some people think it's way too cliche (and I can see where that's coming from, but I still love the movie)

Yeah, the only real downside of it for me was in the veerry begining the whole idea of reincarnation had managed to trigger some death-obsession-fear-like thoughts, but I managed to push them aside alot easier then normal. Oh, and it brought back alot of memories that I had that involved past animals that I had in my life- they were all good memories, but it still made me kind of sad because I still love them even though they are no longer with me.

So, why do you like it? My two favorite movies as a kid were "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "Mary Poppins". Just a tad strange as a child :-) I like how Holly Golightly changed at the end and I've always been a sucker for Mary Poppin types and love Julie Andrews and **** Van Dyke.

I read the synopsis. Now I remember it. I kind of like it too Kaika but have never been able to sit through it. I think the "concept" is a good idea but there's no real "action" it's kind of boring the way it plays out. I don't know that many people would bring kids to it because of the death/reincarnation thing, the trouble you have with pets, etc. and the whole workaholic father -- too many of those in real life at that time and no one wanted to believe they were it?

I actualy...don't know why I like it so much to be honest. Probably because I love animals so much and this is an animal movie, I also like the added element of spirituality too with the whole re-incarnation aspect of the movie. (one of the things mom was teaching me was about re-incarnation because I was begining to doubt my religious beliefs) I guess the combination of those two things makes it not only watch-able, but loveable for me.

just wanted to thank you for writing about your favorite movie....... it sounded interesting and so while I was out I stopped by the video store and they actually had a copy to rent.... so I am going to watch it this weekend. I'm looking forward to it-- for both, entertainment and a distraction.

I like to read recommendations of movies-- thank you! So I re-watched my favorite movie as a kid... and I love animals too!
