Since finishing with my partner for savagely smacking my daughter for mere belching, I took Juni out for waffles and crêpes, during which, I asked if she'd like a minder. Someone gentle but firm to guide her during difficult times while I was at work. Juni grinned and said that would be well cool.

My daughter is rare for her age. I wish she hadn't grown up so fast, but kids do these days. Her main interest is group leadership and survival which is good, especially because our world is changing so nastily and our weather is going just plain crazy.

I allowed her to head the bodyguard interviews and I'd guide where it was necessary. Throughout today, no-one seemed eligible. Until the last lady arrived, I watched facinated as she and Juni immediately connected.

We've definitely found the right person. The lady is exceptionally experienced having protected politicians, but has exactly the right temperament to look after my firebrand daughter and steer her. Her name is Laura and I'm employing her full time.

As for my ex, I bought her house. Means she moves away and our building project continues. Once my lawyer arranges bank transfers and performs the legal necessities, my ex will receive the market value of her property. I can afford it because my late parents left me a trust fund which will be great for my bonny lass. To have a happy life and a home that is safe for us both.

Today Laura helped me handle my often severe anxiety. She taught me controlled breathing exercises to bring any panic and anxiety down. And Juni? She's looking forward to learning situational awareness, controlled combat and being guided into becoming steady and confident in the face of hostility. During this week's leave which I'm so grateful for (I was owed a mass of overtime, but took time off instead) I'll have her home schooling people send us new tutors, and the rest of the week we'll have good times with Laura.

Sometime this week we'll be going to France to a survivalist place Laura set up. At last my confidence is returning and that's got to be good.
