Does anyone have a tidbit of personal advice that they stick to?
Something you heard, grew up with, or just brings you comfort and helps you move forward? Mine is something I heard in one of my favorite movies: "All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you." I like that one because it always brings me in the moment and appreciate what I have now rather what I don't from the past or the future. Very grounding. There’s this song I like called Into The Airwaves by Jacks Mannequin and there’s a part that goes “don’t panic, don’t panic, there simply is no need.” I say that to myself a lot. Besides that I just tell myself I’m worrying for nothing, or it’s just my anxiety.

Be true to myself.
Seek out simple pleasures, daily. Never hold grudges, and be quick to forgive and apologize, as applicable...and mean it. What crap happens, deal with it the best you can. Say "C'est la vie". Move on. |

Accept everyone as they are so long as they don't hurt others and if you can't do that then go your own way. Though this song doesn't capture that philosophy exactly, for some reason, it started playing in my head when I read the title of this thread:
