There are a number of nasty Amazon scams circulating so this link could be helpful for some of us who are unaware.

The 8 Top Amazon Scams of 2020 (and How to Avoid Them)

Also: If you receive a suspicious phone call, e-mail or text message claiming to be from Amazon, asking for payment, personal information, or offering a refund you do not expect, please do not share any personal information, and disconnect any phone call immediately.

You can report spam calls via Action Fraud at Action Fraud.

Amazon will never ask for your personal information, or ask you to make a payment outside of our website (e.g. via bank transfer, emailing credit card details, etc.).

Note: Amazon can't respond personally when you report a suspicious e-mail to stop-spoofing@amazon.com, but you may receive an automatic confirmation.

You know, it just seems like there is more and more of this all the time. My silly little LG phone was hacked into out of nowhere last week. Nothing of value on it. They fired off a bunch of calls and texts and downloaded a bunch of things. I had no idea what it was all about. Anyway, we have to be careful out there. Lots and lots of bad guys on the prowl.

Be careful!!

Oh I'm very careful, thanks! That's why I recommend a VPN put on the phone if you use your LG for online shopping/transactions. I'll pm you the one we use. It's excellent.

Edit: we all have a VPN on our devices and computers. Never without it.
