Since the corona virus, we've had some very dramatic changes in weather. Often times there are days where it's hot-sunny-cold-rainy-hot-sunny-cold-hail-sunny-hail. One day there was so much hail all the houses and the roads were white and it looked like snow!
Today my mom talked with my grandparents in the next state over and they said it was sunny but while talking with my mom, it started deluging with thunder! Anyone else having weird weather? |

Yes. The weather this year has been really weird. The forecast said march would be warm but it was freezing, then we had 2 winter storms way into April. Had our first tornado nearby too. The news shows tornados and fatal weather events all over the country. How are people supposed to do social distancing when their homes are destroyed? It's almost as of America is cursed.

It just seems like we are having pretty nice weather. Usually April weather sucks. This year it’s been warm and sunny the majority of the days. Of course it is though. We have had a couple storms though that made me think “wtf is going on”
I did hear that corona is playing a factor into the air quality. Just because everyone is staying inside and not polluting the air. Not sure if that’s true or not though.

Yes, very strange. Winter one week, summer the next.

You know what? I think that the unusual weather has to do with the same phenomenon that is causing a drastic drop in pollution - have you seen the story about the Himalayas being seen for the first time in decades, because pollution have obscured them? Los Angeles - people wearing masks because of COVID, rather than because of the pollution?
It's amazing - but so sad, because when the country reopens - when the world reopens - back will come the pollution and other assaults to mother nature. Heartbreaking. As for us here, our weather has changed dramatically in the past decade. We don't have true winters anymore. Our summers are scorching hot. Right now we're having beautiful, sunny, breezy spring weather. But that's today.

We sure still have winter. Very much so. That didn’t change.

They told me when I moved to Ky 13 years ago that if I didn't like the weather, just wait a few minutes & it will change. Like all 4 seasons within a day is normal here.
For me though after getting my horse here last summer, I am out in the weather taking care of her rather than inside looking out at the weather. Has given me a whole new perspective on weather over this last year

Yes, very odd weather where I am. Some almost hot days, then cold days again. Beautiful days and lousy days. And, days that are beautiful one minute and almost tropical storm-like the next, then back to blue skies, then back to torrential downpours, and repeat. My husband said somewhere near us apparently had a small tornado as part of the chaos weather. My area rarely gets them.
