I started playing Stardew Valley on my Xbox One X. I have played about 80 hours of it somewhere n my Nintendo Switch and wanted it on my Xbox too so I got a digital copy. Also got a digital copy of Minecraft for my Xbox One

I decided to try one of those e-shop (switch) vouchers as I had to order something from Amazon anyway.
I bought myself Garden Paws and am really enjoying it, its cute and relaxing like acnh but there's more area for you to explore and more of a variety of different tasks to do daily. I did look at the AC DLC but cos it plays in real time like the game, if you don't go on daily for a while the island gets overgrown etc I'm not that much into the interior decorating aspect of of the holiday homes. I liked having a tent in the beginning! ..I might also get the Haven Park mini game thing off e-shop too, about setting up campsites. |

Haven't played them for a while! SDV got a bit overwhelming with the amount of stuff to get through to make money. At the minute Garden Paws is starting to feel like that too as I get into it and get more and more tasks to do from each person before the end of each season, not all doable in this first year! ...starts to get overwhelming and stops being relaxing!! Went back to ACNH cos it's easy to do 10-15mins quick run round the island pickup a few fossils, sell them and pay a bit more of mortgage off! ..while watching a bit of telly!! If I get enough free gifts, sell enough bugs/fish etc or feel up to a bit of crafting too and make quite a bit ...sometimes I treat myself to a new outfit from the clothes shop!! On the older switch though (that only works docked) I just leave exercise games in and use it with the big TV for a bit of physio. The new Get Fit one isn't bad. Can't do all the exercises, but you can do a custom routine and make your own routine and use the 'pain' feature to cut out exercises from other routines eg if you choose 'knees' under 'pain' it would remove jumping exercises or stuff like planks if you choose shoulder injuries etc. ..useful if there were one or two you didn't like or couldn't do but liked the rest of that routine. The floor routines are all mixed in to different routines and too much up and down for me (too exhausting dragging myself back up on to the sofa from the floor then back down a few minutes later!) so I've made a custom floor routine - stretching and yoga type routine similar to the old wii fit one. Can do the one just for arms from sitting with dumbells (can't use wrist weights cos of where you need to strap joycon to right wrist, unlike the wii where you held the wiimote for some arm exercises)...don't have good enough balance to do most of the standing ones and haven't been through all the routines yet to see which can be adapted to do from sitting but got enough for 20 minute routine if do the arm routine followed by the floor one. Will go through the others at weekend to see if I can find another 10 minutes of adapted ones to give me a 30 min session. |

@InkyTinks yes I enjoy that about animal crossing too. It's easy to play while watching something or listening to a podcast or music or something since it doesn't require intense focus.
Stardew Valley has sooo much going on it it. It is definitely a lot of fun but yeah I can see how it can be overwhelming. There are so many tasks and things you could do and so limited time each day to do them. I heard that there's a thing called a return staff or something you can get later in the game where you can use it to warp anywhere in the town and I can't wait to get it because it will save so much time. Right now I'm at 9 hearts with Elliot. I'm thinking of having my character marry him on my Xbox save file. In my Nintendo Switch save file I had my character marry Harvey. In my Xbox save I'm in Winter of year 1 right now. I haven't bought any animals yet for my farm. So far I've just been working on farming crops and working on thee community center. I never tried the Get Fit games. I'm glad to hear they're good though. I might get a copy someday. I can't do any of the jumping exercises though because I live in a third floor apartment and I don't think my downstairs neighbors would appreciate me jumping around

OK
I'm giving The Last of Us another try. Bounced off it a couple of times so let's see where this leads.... Also I'm feeling somewhat fragile atm and I just know the prologue section is gonna make me cry a bit. __________________ If you're going through hell, keep going... |

I found you can choose to ignore tasks and they'll come up the following year if they are seasonal or you can just abandon it all together.
Some characters are annoying you go to give them what they requested and they don't take it straight away instead first giving you another one or two extra things to do before accepting what they asked you to do before! I try not to take on too many at once by not talking to anyone until I've finished the last lot or reading ahead to see who will give me the quests I need to achieve a particular goal like get the barn built! ...cheating a bit I know!! |

You know, my Playstation has been sitting unused since my life went sideways (February). My life is still sideways, but it's not going to change tonight. I might as well fire it up and not worry about the outside world for a while. I've got all the Dishonored games. Finished the first one a while ago. Might as well dive into Dishonored 2!

I've been doing more landscaping on my AC island.
I got to the end ..well end of Tom Nook's quest to get KK Slider ..and got the little guy in the boat who sings to you! (love him!! ) Nobody has mentioned the guy who opens the cafe though ,even though I took a gyroid to the owl to look it I couldn't select it...maybe cos I was using the second account? but also of all the islands I've visited on this game I've never had any fruits other than pears (which are our native fruits) so haven't been able to get any fruits...is this a bug? ..anyone know? |

My old switch was making strange noises today after putting it on a short time and it was really hot to touch.
I'm wondering if I can transfer my completed BOTW files to the OLED so I can add the DLC, Does anyone know if the DLC for that game will work if you haven't completed the game? (I have the original game on cartridge but haven't played it on the OLED yet) I had 2 save files, second was more recently restarted will the DLC only work on the completed file or can I access the DLC from either file? or if I have to start from scratch again..if it overheats again before I can transfer them? like I know for eg on ACNH the DLC wouldn't play until you'd got to a certain point (after you'd got KK Slider to play) so wondering if its the same for BOTW DLC? |

I decided the other day to buy some FPS thumbstick attachments for my Xbox One controllers to see if they help me play Witcher 2. (Basically, people buy FPS attachments to give more precise aiming w/ their thumbsticks, so I think it might help me with more precise movements in Witcher 2.)
