Roots of Pacha looks interesting as like a stone age setting and the pre-historic animals...cute woolly mammoth

Don't know whether it will be download only though or have a physical copy but I like the graphics better than SDV.
Thanks for this!

Its a shame the developers don't seem to think about letting you customise other npc's within a game not only your one playable character, so you can create a family within a game?

If you can have married couples in some games then surely they can create parameters for family, mother, son, daughter, father etc?

I've been playing World of Warcraft. I'm just creating new characters, getting them to level 10 and then transmogging their gear so they look good. I'm bored. It's something to do. But I can't create any more new characters. I'm maxed out.

I found a video on YT showing how the guy made Stardew Valley on his own..have to say I was impressed with his dedication to it!!

It's here if anyone else hasn't seen it and wants to watch it.

I'm thinking about getting it now!
Thanks for this!

Just ordered it online, should be here Thursday!

Would have liked to be able change villagers names but sent it as a suggestion for future update, probably won't though ...so..I'm making my character as me..and pretending like I've just appeared in a parallel universe and have to try and work out which of the characters are my family members in the Stardew Valley universe!!

Anyway have to go for a bit... RL doggy wants attention! He'll be getting jealous if there's a dog in that game and it gets more attention than him!!!
Thanks for this!

I went through the 3rd Pokémon gym in Shining Pearl last night, got to the gym leader, almost finished the battle, then the game just crashed, froze in the middle of the battle and I had to turn it off, I have to go through the whole gym/all the trainers and the gym leader again, ugh. Maybe it's because I have the digital version, I've never had a game crash before

I started playing New World with some friends and we would play constantly. I've made it to level 48 and kind of lost interest. It's still fun, but it's so hard to progress without a group, and our schedules all have been changing so I play solo most of the time now. It's definitely not as fun solo, and I made it to a point where I can't progress the main story until I do one of the excavations and I don't like to do those with random folks, so I'm kind of just waiting until my friends and I can find a time for all of us to play again, haha.

I really want to keep playing it but I feel you, it's hard to keep interest when the solo gameplay isn't as fun.

Do you have to stay connected to the internet the whole time when playing digitally? Maybe your internet connection 'dropped out'? Mine does it frequently updates take hours to download cos BB is so slow out here..sometimes even overnight but if connection 'drops out' when I was asleep I getup and its still not complete.

That's why I can't play live online or download whole games or films.

Just got a nintendo switch. Any advice on what games to get. I've ordered a 200gb sd card which should hopefully come soon. Also is paying for nintendo online worth it?

I've been playing World of Warcraft. I really enjoy it. But my subscription will run out in 10 days. I will have to wait a few weeks before I can renew it. At least I have some other games I can play.

No I don't think it requires staying connected to the internet the whole time to play

But I ended up battling the gym leader again and I had no problems this time

Depends what kind of genre you like?

Do you like puzzles?...adventures? RPG's? ..prefer long solo adventures offline or been able to play with others 'live'?

If you prefer cartridge not all games are available on them, but many of the ones on the shop as download only are smaller games and cheaper..maybe some free demo's too I've never been on.

Spent all weekend on Stardew Valley, set up 2 different farms to play 2 different storylines. Despite the quite basic old SNES style graphics it is a good game. I have played more 'photo-realistic' games in the past and even bought them for the stunning graphics but the storyline was boring or the gameplay didn't really keep me going back.

There is actually kind a bit of depth in the characters in Stardew Valley and their dialogues and behaviours change as you befriend them and/or marry them.

Cos of the older style graphics and me having had a Super Nintendo when I was young and remembering spending hours on it, it's felt like a real trip down memory lane this weekend and I really enjoyed it

I also enjoyed Links Awakening and at first I didn't think I would after being spoilt (graphically) with BOTW!

What do you think is most important to you? do you go for the games with best graphics (most real-life looking) ... 3D but cutesy/cartoony.. or 'old-skool' style like Stardew Valley 2D top down??
Thanks for this!

I'm glad you're enjoying it, it's really good and has a lot of gameplay

I haven't played Link's Awakening yet but it looks good

I tend to prefer 3D but cutesy/cartoony in general. Like games such as Animal Crossing, Story of Seasons, Rune Factory, Luigi's Mansion, Pokémon, etc. I think for some games though it's nice to have the most real-looking, like for games like Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption. I like the old-skool style like Stardew Valley too, it really just depends on the game. I tend to like the Stardew Valley/old-skool style for games like Graveyard Keeper, and Littlewood, I think it fits them well. I think all 3 styles can be good depending on what the game is

You may be interested in the game being developed by the developer of Stardew Valley, it's called Haunted Choclolatier, it's going to be awhile before it comes out though, it's similar in style to Stardew Valley.

Haunted Chocolatier Release Date - Everything We Know | GameWatcher

You might also like the game Graveyard Keeper, it's like Stardew Valley with similar graphics but you're running a graveyard instead of a farm, it's actually a lot of fun lol

You might also like LittleWood, it's a fun relaxing/peaceful RPG with old-skool graphics, it's really cute
